Below the Order Form
Recently the Canadian based cooking channel “Glen & Friends” approached me as they were doing a piece about KFC and the history of their secret spice. Because of our history with Col. Sanders they came across our website.
Even though our breading has links to Col. Sanders it is not the original recipe. Glen finished his investigation with our breading and another brand and posted this video on YouTube. Hope you enjoy it!

Grace's have added a picture of the 12 spices they use. These spices do not match with the recipe provided to/by Glen. I don't think is the OR, but it is interesting to see that yet another source uses cardamom...

Cardamom is the 5th ingredient from left in the top row. I need to correct myself though, I don't know if these are actually the spices they put into their blend. But it would be misleading to tag this photo as "12 spices" and add it to a website that promotes a blend of 12 spices. But it looks strange to me. Looks like three different types of paprika. You cannot identify all items. All I can say is that this is far away from Glen's recipe. I don' see a single greenish ingredient without any doubt. Maybe the one next to Cardamom. Or the one next to Turmeric, but then you cannot fit Ginger anywhere.
Like I said, I don't think this is it, so I will not spend much effort on this as I found "my eleven".

I agree that it makes no sense. Perhaps it's just another display of spices meant to throw people off the trail. But then the napkin could be another trail twister also.

send Grace Blends a message and ask the question
They should rely they have responded to the situation regarding the thought it was the Original Blend and updated the web site to say it's not the Original recipe I think Karl has some honor in what he does and would answer if it was a stock photo or was it a actual photo of the spices used.
If they Do not reply I would guess they would update the Photo with words to suggest its only a stock photo.
AS for KFC and there photo's they have a Legal Bank roll of cash and resources. that have reviewed there photo's and all Advertisements
my thought is they have decided there answer upon financial risk rather then common reality. Why do I say this answer.
They have won Lawsuits against BOTH Marion-Kay and Grace's in the UK

Points from KFC vs Marion Kay case and opinion on Ad laws
No Court has ever forced a supplier or manufacturer to disclose a trade secret to a distributor wanting to manufacture and distribute that product. See, e.g., Susser v. Carvel Corporation, 332 F.2d 505, 517 (2d Cir.), cert. granted 379 U.S. 885, 85 S.Ct. 158, 13 L.Ed.2d 91 (1964) and cert. dismissed, 381 U.S. 125, 85 S.Ct. 1364, 14 L.Ed.2d 284 (1965).
KFC, on the other hand, argues that because KFC seasoning is a trade secret, central to the success of its business, the Court cannot require it to disclose its recipe secret to any supplier claiming it is worthy to produce seasoning.
Marion-Kay has presented nothing in opposition to KFC's statement that KFC seasoning is an essential and inseparable part of the product that is identified by the consuming public as Original Recipe Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Marion-Kay Has No Right to Become A Distributor of KFC Seasoning
Now this statement even though is referring to trade mark and association of the spice being the same. Similar such words also are reflected in other case laws regarding Advertisement laws around the world.
If a photo advertised by a Manufacture, corporation, business or otherwise show a product it must to a reasonable expectation show the proper item. Etc. many companies now list on boxes and TV ads product may vary as shown.
Subway Corporation was taken to court over the statement 1 foot sub. People measure the sub buns many times and showed the sub buns were not 1 foot.
What happen everyone paid lawyers to fight the case and the ads were changed were paid it all came out of the franchise legal fees. Its all a cost of business its all a calculated risk for the legal team to determine how to defend the allegations prior to the fight and defense in court.
Summarized as by many as financial loss over potential public image and potential Free advertisement gain. There have been some companies that will take a risk to gain the Free TV press on an issue then settle the situation BUT gain much publicity, for free and hope its good press. That does not always work
So in KFC aspect what do they have to lose a possible court case, or a fine from the country where the ad’s were placed WOW take a $100,000.00 fine but used the ad’s for 1 years. They gain more by making people think it’s part of a recipe and wait for a lawsuit.
inseparable part of the product that is identified by the consuming public as Original Recipe Kentucky Fried Chicken. There could be a issue that one could argue as they intended to deceive people, and KFC could just say it’s accurate and NEVER have to show the recipe, and say it’s a trade secret which no court can demand to show.
KFC would have to reply to a letter sent asking if the spices were actual representation if the 11 vials in the Vault?
if someone knows the laws regarding ads please chime your info
The question more important we should see what spices are common in ALL forms that KFC advertised and compare a spread sheet then go back to simple basic aspect
CHS said ALL the spices were Common Pantry item's in 1935 Bill S. from Marion Kay said he spread out the KFC New age spices on the table in 1972 and looked at it smelled it and then reverse back to what was the BEST items in 1935 the CHS could have used for a Better Chicken.
looking at photo's of spices for the oldest possible photo of spices one has shows more color of red/orange if im wrong please show me a photo of it
