Allspice and Savory may need to be switched.

@eastfrisian is 100% right. Either the photo of the 12 herbs and spices is fake, or Glen and Friends were told a whopper of a tail, and bought it hook, line, and sinker. I don't think it's likely the two can be rectified.

I can confirm that the recipe Glen was give is a recipe that KFC New Age Corporation was using and testing in the 80's so it was a valid recipe NOT the true Original. Glen was not given any amounts to use the items and Glen is 100% correct when he said that MSG is the 12th Item KFC used.
So there are items in the Recipe that were used in the Original KFC chicken.
They were all common items used in 1935 Nothing fancy

... and Glen is 100% correct when he said that MSG is the 12th Item KFC used. This seems to me to be yet more confirmation that KFC uses what I've been referring to as chemically "supercharged" MSG. It's as if they can place it way down the ingredients order and still get a huge impact from it. The average Joe can't do this unless the two commercial level MSG enhancers are made publicly available at retail. Potentially all references to MSG quantities must be taken with a grain of salt.

KFC has admitted they use MSG and lots of it. By admitting they use it it becomes silent that they use it LOL. When you try and hide it then it makes a stink and issue. They also use other items in the New Age Corporation Recipe which enhances the MSG. like yeast, chicken base, and 10 other items I cannot spell if I try.
You can make your own MSG which is unreal and better
Homemade Monosodium Gluconate Ingredient
Anchovies Garlic Onion Parmesan Cheese (Parmigiano-Reggiano) Sea Weed (Dashi Kombu) Tomato
all these items are used in homemade MSG so when they have some in KFC its a booster. People don't like the word sea weed so they use the MSG

It MAY be the case that the picture of 12 herbs/spices on Grace's website are a reflection of a very early list of ingredients used by CHS, whereas the modern list as given to Glen and Friends represents a more current list of ingredients. I'm now leaning in that direction as to my understanding of this puzzle.
The problem as I see it in any attempt at a throwback is that there is likely no one alive today who could definitively recognize the precise flavor of the mid 50's through 1964 flavor of the Colonel's chicken. And that means everyone is merely speculating.

hi guys like some of you I was watching all the episodes of Glen, at the end, I was surprised about the findings of Glen and went straight ahead and ordered on Karl's webshop. Received 1KG very fast I must say I live in the Netherlands and they are shipping it from my country as well.
When I was making my own KFC copy style chicken, it seems that my flour compared to Karl's flour is finer. Karl's flour seems to feel a bit rough? Perhaps too much salt is used? Anyways, I made already a lot of batches and without even brining the chicken. I must tell you this is the best blend you can get online prepacked to make your chicken at home. The KFC original recipe comes nowhere near the quality, flavour and texture of Grace's Perfect Blend.
I think all of you can relate that the chicken pieces with the OG KFC blend @kfc are too greasy, lack flavour and texture.
Guys maybe Karl's is saying it's not the OG recipe perhaps he doesn't want to get in trouble.. Ever thought about that?
