in the List above I can explain it better as many will say there are 6 item which is true BUT SAGE was NOT in the Original KFC Roughly when (what year) do you figure that Sage was added to the ingredient list? Was Savory added at about the same time? Are both of these still requisite ingredients?

deepfriednew101, do you think that among the Sage, Oregano, and Marjoram which Marion-Kay currently sells at retail, one of them is actually Mexican Oregano? And if so, which one?

Mexican Oregano and Savory was used First then it changed to Sage and Savory.
Mexican Oregano had some hurdles in the deliveries of supplies
I know this is going to sound stupid but in the 1960's many of the Places in Mexico has a switch from the Crops being grown, for more lucrative Crops.
The more lucrative crops were driven by the Mexican Drug Cartels, so the lands where many Herbs and Spices were being grown were now access to the other higher paying crops to supply the Hippy Era NOT the Chicken Companies.
It was at this similar time the imports of Oregano jumped from other countries and the Mexican amount became lower to the USA and World BUT not lost.
Sage was then used much more and in combination to the Mexican Oregano that was available.
So a play on words is in KFC New Age Corner with Sage and Savory they are correct Sage is Labeled on Mexican Oregano BUT what's the OR recipe say Oregano ? ? ?

Grace's Blend Flour
I have had it since before Glen put out a video it was flown over with friends who returned from holidays
The Flour and spice was very settled out went arrived.
We had to dump it into a Lug and Sift it 3 times to get the blend re-mixed to equalize the flavor.
It is Bland and under seasoned. It needed more seasoning and fresh pepper and Salt to help give it some taste.
in some simple batch's we mixed in some Italian Seasoning to get more Herb and Spice, Taste.
Very Disappointed in the Product. YES add more 99X to the Blend also.
Not worth the $ for shipping to Canada, if you pay the price they send it for?
I have 1 whole Bag and part of a Second Bag.
If anyone in Canada want test Sample Private Message.
It's Nothing Special in my mind. except over prices under seasoned Flour

THERE IS A REASON KFC does NOT still make Seasoned Flour like in the 1970's
The Seasoned Flour after it sits with Herb's and Spice's for more then 1 month in the Bag Looses its Flavor Zing. it will have some flavor and some NOTE but not what you get when you mix the Herb's and Spice's the same day or the second day. The Flour over weeks just absorbs the Flavors and the flavors just get to diluted.
Brown & Massey learned this when they thought they could Mix the spices in a season bag of flour and save shipping extra boxes.
it failed real quick.
IT WAS WHY KFC MANUAL TALK ABOUT ADDING THE EXTRA HERB AND SPICE to the seasoned flour for ZING
the ZING only gave the old seasoned flour the new boost for flavor it lost over time?
This is part of the Reason people are having complaints with Grace's Perfect Blend. it has lost to much flavor and people are NOT sifting the Flour prior to using it. HOME cooks don't have a easy way to sift 10 LBS of flour at home.

My latest educated guess as to a recipe along the lines of Grace's (as scaled down to 200 grams of flour):
200. grams Cake Flour 28.0 grams Salt 5.00 grams MSG 3.00 grams Fine White Pepper 1.00 grams Fine Black Pepper 1.00 grams Coarse Black Pepper 1.00 grams Cracked Black Pepper 1.00 grams Allspice 1.00 grams Coriander Seed 1.00 grams Ginger 1.00 grams Thyme 0.67 Grams Sage 0.33 grams Marjoram

And now with garlic added (in the form of Garlic Salt) whereby to sum to 11:
200. grams Cake Flour 24.0 grams Salt 5.00 grams MSG 4.00 grams Garlic Salt (1) 3.00 grams Fine White Pepper (2) 1.00 grams Fine Black Pepper (3) 1.00 grams Coarse Black Pepper (4) 1.00 grams Cracked Black Pepper (5) 1.00 grams Allspice (6) 1.00 grams Coriander Seed (7) 1.00 grams Ginger (8) 1.00 grams Thyme (9) 0.67 Grams Sage (10) 0.33 grams Marjoram (11)
Edit: This recipe is 40 ounce bag compliant.

The Grace's seasoned flour bag lists ingredients in order of descending weight as: Wheat Flour Salt Spices Flavor Enhancer 621 (which is MSG) Herbs
The above recipe has: ---------------------------------- 200 grams Wheat Flour ~27.56 grams Salt ~9.44 grams Collective Spices 5 grams MSG 2 grams Collective Herbs

Due to different brands of Garlic Salt delivering different ratios of Salt and Garlic, a more consistent way to do this would be as follows:
200. grams Cake Flour 27.56 grams Salt 5.00 grams MSG 0.44 grams Garlic Powder (1) 3.00 grams Fine White Pepper (2) 1.00 grams Fine Black Pepper (3) 1.00 grams Coarse Black Pepper (4) 1.00 grams Cracked Black Pepper (5) 1.00 grams Allspice (6) 1.00 grams Coriander Seed (7) 1.00 grams Ginger (8) 1.00 grams Thyme (9) 0.67 Grams Sage (10) 0.33 grams Marjoram (11)
