The toasted sesame seeds really created a "nutty" after taste. Haven't had a chance to cook yet, but I will try both blends when I do. I guess the OR has been discovered on this forum, as it has gone silent. Good luck selling it.

Grace's Perfect Blend has been working on it for 18 months?
its Good to Hear they are Getting closer.
The Hoops are the same as any other country for Import of Canada regulations are very similar to the USA except we have 2 official languages which are a PAIN in the Paperwork for many companies as Canada requires English and French Labels WHICH is a Issue for smaller companies as They usually Do Not have French on the Packaging they typically use, So they Need New Packaging for Canada and our Laws are metric based which also causes a issue. it they are not Grandfathered around some Regulation
Best of luck to Graces Perfect Blend hope they get over the Hoops as Glen and friends has 2.3 Million Views world wide. Many are from Canada also
Only Down Fall to the Product is it expensive seasoned flour?
99-x Is a Better Bang for the Buck for a similar style item WHEN you increase the 99-x mixing Ratio to 5 or 6 Tablespoons to Flour and not the recommended 2 Tablespoon to Flour they recommend on the container.

I will continue on, solo if necessary. I believe the vials contain the elements that "finished" the note. They were displayed because KFC didn't use that recipe any longer. I am juggling mustard, ginger and toasted sesame seeds. I'm looking at nutmeg one more time, and that will take more vial adjustments. The three greens are also an issue. Below is a photo of Jamaican ginger powder. i.imgur.com/zG4XJpw.jpg

Tommy S said the recipe had Lots of Ginger
Old franchisers ALL say they added Jamaican Ginger when there was a issue with the Ginger.
More Spices than Herbs in the Vials

I just mixed a new one, and if it isn't the OR, then I might bottle it and sell it myself. LOL. I'm in the final stages of testing. Cumin vs. nutmeg vs. pepper flakes vs. toasted sesame seeds vs. herbs (what to leave in, what to leave out). I need to get another pressure fryer. This newest mix compared to the last one is like night and day, although mixed very similar. I'm trying to figure out how toasted sesame seeds would have been used, if used at all. It could have been thrown into the breading flour, as a flour. I can't test the KFC flour I have because, well, today's KFC sucks.

If I just knew the exact contents of the 11 vials, I would settle these KFC riddles. My chili seasoning is so good, with such an increasing demand, that I need to figure out what to do with it before I die. My children would probably give the recipe away and someone else would profit from it. But then I could just destroy it.
Maybe this is what CHS did. He gave away a "variation" and kept the original, then before he died, destroyed it. Believe it or not, this, in a way, could explain the "5 ingredient" argument. MK, and anyone else, could get close to the OR with only 5 ingredients. This could explain how MK seemingly "duplicated" the OR. Maybe they didn't, but it was close.
I have seen no evidence that 99x was exactly like KFC OR. Even at that time, CHS was complaining that his recipe had been altered. If it had been, then why did franchisees accept 99x as a suitable replacement? Maybe 99x was just an acceptable "variation" of the OR, which was already in use.
Anyway, I'm looking for 1959, and I don't recall vanilla, licorice, nigella seeds, or so many other things that have been tried. I just want a list. I'll take care of the rest. It took me 30+ years to figure out the DeFrates recipes. I don't have time for all of this wheel spinning.

Willie
The Mix Marion Kay bill S sold to the FRANCHISES was ORIGINALLY Marion Kay Chicken Seasoning NOT 99-x
It WAS way Better than the K.F.C. New Age Seasoning and it was like what C.H.S. made Originally when He started with Leon Harmon and When He Franchise to Canada Originally and For a decade.
99-x was Changed after the court case By consent from Bill S Marion kay (Your legal experience would confirm that in a lawsuit the case can be dropped if Both parties agree to a resolution and No trial is Held But the parties agree and then the case is stopped or cease)
The Key in the Marion Kay Case was Other franchises Outside C.H.S. were asking NEW AGE K.F.C. if they could use the Marion Kay Chicken Seasoning which C.H.S. was using in His Authorized Locations which were in Utah, Florida, Montana, Canada, Uk which at that time He was supplying 280 Franchises Approximately
C.H.S. and Bill S. Marion Kay WERE NOT approaching the Franchises OUTSIDE C.H.S. contact where He retained the Rights to Certain locations and Area's BUT the Other NEW AGE Franchises Outside the Area where NOTICING the Difference in the Quality that was sold at C.H.S. Run Locations those Franchises who were getting the NEW AGE washed Seasoning were asking NEW AGE if they could BUY Marion Kay Chicken Seasoning and THEY WERE TOLD NO.
AT No point While C.H.S. being alive Did NEW AGE K.F.C. Stop Marion Kay from selling the Chicken Seasoning To C.H.S. and His Franchise Locations NEW AGE Only stopped it After C.H.S. Died and NEW AGE retained Control of ALL Global Operations which included the ones C.H.S. had control over. This Included Pat's Fried Chicken and Canadian Operations.
99-x Mixed by Marion Kay was Changed by Bill S. and agreement with New Age BUT still is one of the Closer representations of a K.F.C. style seasoning.
99-x Can be made much Better By mixing 2 of Marion Kay 2024 seasoning together to create a More original K.F.C Old Seasoning.
