The particularly honest South Africa KFC website section on ingredients and allergens lists all of these for KFC OR:
E407 = Carrageenan = Irish Moss (which is a seaweed) E415 = Xanthan gum E417 = Tara gum E466 = Cellulose Gum E433 = Polysorbate 80 E436 = Polysorbate 65 E500 = Sodium Carbonates E627 = Disodium guanylate (the 'G' in 'I+G') E631 = Disodium inosinate (the 'I' in 'I+G') E621 = MSG Spice and Herb Extracts Glucose (I,E., Sugar) Sodium Citrate Maltodextrin
Note: [Umami and Kokumi and I+G are all present naturally within various of seaweeds, where they were first discovered]

Breaking down the basic South Africa KFC OR components: Cooking Oil: SA KFC PALMOLEIN OIL Palmolein (TBHQ), citric acid, anti foaming agent(silicone - dimethylpolysiloxane) Seasoning Bag: SA KFC OR SEASONING Monosodium glutamate(flavour enhancer(E621)), spices(black pepper), salt(iodated), vegetable oil(sunflower seed oil) Flour Bag: SA KFC BREADING FLOUR Wheaten flour Salt Bag: SA KFC BS BREADING SALT Sodium chloride, free flowing agent (calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, sodium sulphate) Brine plus injection Solution: SA KFC IMOR water, salt, sodium citrate (E331), sodium carbonates (E500), glucose, maltodextrin, thickeners (E417, E415, E466, E1422), stabiliser (E407, E508), flavourants (chicken flavour,grill flavour), flavour enhancers (E631, E627), spice and herb extracts, dispersing Agents (E436, E433), anti-caking agent(E551) Edit: Might IMOR mean " IMmersion for Original Recipe"? Source of all that is above: order.kfc.co.za/addhope/Download?filename=KFC_AllergensEdit #2: Interestingly enough, extracts are only listed among the brine/injection ingredients.
Edit #3: Might Black Pepper be the only real spice remaining within the "BAG"?

Edit #3: Might Black Pepper be the only real spice remaining within the "BAG"?1) In my opinion, IMOR means International Menu Original Recipe, which allows for regionalization, for instance grill flavor, or increased spiciness, or removing allergens that would have to be disclosed. Note that they do not state Colonels Sanders Original Secret recipe in the ingredients. 2) Black pepper being listed as a spice means it is in the bag, and does not mean there aren’t other spices or extracts.

If you look across the world’s product lines, you may see that other menus and ingredients lists mention IMOR chicken. I haven’t checked lately, but at one time, it was the case in parts of Europe also. I formulated that opinion a few years ago and have never seen a KFC statement as to its meaning.

The item that makes things elusive is KFC and many including CHS have said 11 Individual Spices and Herbs is a BBQ Spice, Ketchup Spice, Poultry seasoning a individual spice even though they contain more then one ingredient in the Blend ? CHS said you take certain Spices and Herbs from sausage stuffing ETC ETC ETC and you blend them to make another season and you add it to others ? CHS made the McCormick 1956 McCormick Outdoor Spice Set. He had developed some spices for the BBQ Franchise he sold Brown & Massey prior to them buying the KFC Franchise. I have said the Ingredient that were in ALL of those Bottle were all from the 1930's If anyone has the ingredient list for the Bottles it would be a great Posting for reference

I'm staying out of this one. I'm cooking gizzards today, my reason for this quest in the first place.

I added quite a lot of ginger (and pepper) to my last recipe. (3.2g BP, 5.4g WP 1.1 grams ginger for 100g flour) Seemed quite good but was in a bit of a rush and multiple things changed including how I cooked so not a certainty.
