In the USA KFC still reserves the Protection of the 1906 FDA. They Have stated they Follow ALL 1906 Requirements for the ORIGINAL SECRET RECIPE. As for the USA and CANADA they can use 2% of the Product and a extract similar in nature as a Add on after the Fact and they are well inside the 1906 LAWS but may be outside the Laws of 1985 BUT are bound to the 1906 Law. They effectively could use 2% or 3% of the Original Recipe and the 11 Original Ingredients and then outside the recipe TITLE called ORIGINAL SECRET RECIPE and use Natural Ingrediencies and NOT HAVE TO LIST THEM. They have followed the 1906 Law. Other Countries follow similar rules if KFC started in the country while old laws were relevant. The are GRANDFATHERED to the OLD LAW. If they Cannot follow the Rules they have other Registered Names similar to the ORIGINAL RECIPE which is NOT the ORIGINAL SECRET RECIPE

Start writing the Countries of Import for explanation of the Law they will reply on your Inquiry.
I have wrote so many countries I know KFC GAME and HOW They get around the Label Laws and have had multiple letters in the past. Which explain the same old the same old They are Grandfathered BUT ANY NEW item if NOT using the Original Secret Recipe List items. ALL PROCESSORS who make chicken Popcorn or any other Pre-Processed Items DO NOT fall under the Grandfather Clause.

I have letters that Go back to 1985 asking Laws of Labeling and Descriptions of other Countries Labels and Manuals.
I had a 5 Year stint working within the Import and Export of ALL items our Trade Item for Family Companies and Had to Learn ALL the Rules of Engagement and Counties of Origin for Tax Codes and Import specifics which included different Tax amounts for import of a whole Seed Spice compared to a Rubbed or Powdered Pre Ground Spice the Taxes could have been significantly different and so was Label Laws for Pre Blended Spices or other items of import.
Write letters to the country for clarification of Labels they MUST ANSWER BY LAW, FOR FREE

I ate some kfc O.R today because i wanted to see if i could pick up on anything after refreshing my senses with all the chicken ive been cooking recently. I bought the drumsticks since they are double coated and have the most flavour. I only ate the coating for the taste test and at first it was jut black and white pepper but then after some more trys 10000% clear as day could taste coriander, very faint anise, and CLOVES. I personally don't like cloves but i 100% tasted them today. It was strange tho because it wasn't an overall cloves taste it was like a singular cloves taste as if im tasting just straight cloves.

Glad you could identify cloves. I think cloves and allspice are crucial.

As For the Aroma KFC NEW AGE Currently uses a Aroma Enhancer similar and Like what is added to the Fire logs and Nail Polish.
The Flavor they are using more extract added to Salt Due to current Spice shortages. You may NOT think there is shortages because you see Spices on shelves. BUT a view of Amazon or Prime show MORE spices OUT OF STOCK then available in many of the OLD reliable sellers.
Fresh Herbs Can not replace the Original Flavor and Taste I find everyone just grabs old reliable powders and DOES NOT MICRO PLAIN items.
Press fresh Garlic, Fresh Onions Fresh Celery, and fresh Herbs instead of powders THE CHICKEN WILL BE A NEW EXPERIENCE.
yes it's harder then the Powder BUT you cannot get the same effect with FRESH, or use a combination of some fresh and some powder and see the enhanced finished Product.
Using the Aromatic items Like Bay Leaf, Oregano, Thyme will Boost the Aroma.
Pepper MUST BE FRESH GROUND or CRUSHED. Once Fresh Ground layer it out and put a little oil on it or water. Oil Preferred with the Highest possible heat range and let it soak for a little. More Spice Companies Spray a mist on the Pepper, and let it dry. BOOST THE AROMA in cooking also.
Try soaking some whole Black Peppercorns in Oil for a week, the Dry the Peppercorn or dehydrate. YOU will have a NEW COOKING ITEM and use the cooking oil for salad topping of frying BUT know the Pepper will be infused in the OIL HEAVY.
