The numbers came supposedly from Winston Shelton given to him by CHS. Because of their relationship with the pressure cookers being used. There was a magazine article where Winston recounted the story and used a handful of these numbers in it. He used the term grams, so weight. But I caution you that in the story all of these numbers did not appear. Really only 20,10's and 13. It seemed like from his story this was all just mixed with a certain amount of flour.

Shelton also invented new ways to cook and hold food, including the Collectramatic, the first pressurized fryer that did not require interrupting production to frequently filter shortening while cooking. Shelton also invented Controlled Vapor Technology, a patented cooking method that uses water vapor to prepare and safely hold food
All devices CHS used for KFC and may have helped in design and testing

This was supposedly from the barbecue, not Winston Shelton, so I wanted to hear directly - weight or volume.

I think deepfreid101 hitting the Nail on my Head. . . I ADD UP all 11 numbers in thred Name and Guess what? WOW they adding all to 100! Very Very SPECIAL numbers. SO yes I Will Definite USING and As alawys THANKS for Tipping! I could pick some random numbers …. Say 12 5 3.25 2.75 2.5 1.75 1.75 1.75 1.5 1.5 1.25 1 1 look - they add up up to 25. so if I multiply them by 4…. 20 13 11 10 7 7 7 6 6 5 4 4 look - they add up to 100, also. but the question is…. Are they special? and if so, are they weight or volume? or maybe just random…
