I Did not see the POSTED Recipe and if it would have had a Item that people have not tried much or should be i WOULD HAVE SAID BINGO.
I can say this as to Ingredients.
Yeast
Birds Eye Custard
Dream Whip Powder
Meat Cure Agent
ALL are some items that I have USED and had GREAT Success with
Black and White Peppercorn ARE CRITICAL it has to be combination for a MUCH GREATER taste and even taste. WE use 5 Grinds and even Maxed at 6 grinds 3 Fine, Medium, Butcher Grind both in Black and White.
Breaking Down the Above items
Yeast is a Baking Item which gives the Flavor and is used in almost ALL Powdered Soups and Bullions. Adds Great Flavor and the extra Special Deep Texture Corn Flake effect when Proofed in the Oil. Added Aroma also. ( Bakery Aroma effect comes to mind )
Birds Eye Custard and Dream Whip have the Powdered Milk and Egg, Plus Sweetener, Added great depth in the Flavor need to watch the Amount (remember current KFC NEW age is 255g to 330 gram approximately in 18Lbs of Flour so to 2 cups its very little.
Meat Cure Agent gave a Deep Flavor and addition Aroma there can be a Salt Kick with it. So cut back on the SALT AMOUNT if you try it and adjust salt as required. The Cure agent also KICKS flavor like a MSG. Keep this in mind (SMELL OF A BUTCHER SHOP with fresh sausage been smoked) similar to KFC.
NOTE the MEAT will be MORE PINK in color when using the cure agent.
If I assess the above Birds eye Custard and Dream whip would NOT constitute definition of SPICE or HERB.
BOTH the Cure Agents and the Yeast Fall under, Natural Seasoning and / or Spice and Herb by definition.
When you View Vial C if it matters the Cure agent is a More Red/Orange color
ALL These items I have shared FOR years and Years.
Ken aka Dustin other Forum discredited the items.
I posted the Spice tins of Morton Sausage and Meat Spice also and said it has the items that KFC use and I also made reference to the 1956 McCormick Outdoor Spice Kit which contains ALL the items in KFC. The spice KIT was made by CHS.
