There might not be yeast in the flour of kfc at all to create its crust. it’s just a small component of it’s dried egg white

every time i eat kfc. It always tastes like it’s been sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper.
frying black pepper changes it flavor from citrusy fresh to nutty taste.
this is either the work of a pepper extract.
stange’s 400 mesh black pepper “pepper-all” is maybe true after all.
