Consider what Bill Summers did was really simplify the recipe. And use better ingredients for those that remained Why bother? So you clearly believe there is only 11 ingredients plus MSG therefore everything from pepper to any salt in the bags are counted. Which is fine

Consider what Bill Summers did was really simplify the recipe. And use better ingredients for those that remained Why bother? Because now it’s different from the OR recipe in the amount and type of ingredients.

I'm like a broken record (for you that remember them, LOL). If you do not know what is in it, then you do not know what is not in it. It's a lot like the saying: "In order to get where you want to go, you must first know where you are." (few, if any, of us are situated here) Or the comical flip to this: "Wherever you are, there you are." (many of us are stuck right here)

Every "top shelf" recipe I've drawn up through the years (quickly abandoned for greener grass), has included tarragon.

Tarragon certainly makes for excellent deep fried chicken. I haven't used it in awhile. Perhaps I need to ditch Anise Seed and make room for Tarragon.
