To how much Flour was Winston Shelton instructed to add the 100 grams? Salt absolutely has to be part of the 100 grams, as CHS instructed Winston that once he had the 100 grams all he would need to do is add it to flour. Salt was Not Listed as ONE of the 11 Herbs and Spices. Tommy S even admitted SALT was NOT indicated in the Recipe He has ? Tommy also admitted the amount of flour to use was from Basic Knowledge and the History they had with cooking Chicken ? Common Sense would be relevant with Winston as He was making the Equipment That C.H.S. Needed and would have already Knew How to Dip the chicken and the Flour or Salt as these items are Needed to KNOW for Cooking the Chicken Properly and were NOT secret to Cooking BUT The recipe was secret ? Common Sense Principle Like Tommy Referred means in 1930's 2 to 4 cops of Flour would have logically been used and 1 to 2 Tablespoons of Salt would have been subject to Taste (especially when Fine Salt was used)

Give it up already deepfriednew101! Anyone (except you) can see that my 'numbered' 11 H&S clearly do not include Salt. And anyone can read Winston's story to learn that to the 100 grams only Flour would need to be added. Can you not understand such simple things as this.

I agree that in the ONE article Book ETC Winston was referenced add the 11 Ingredient 100g to Flour "This Quote was a narrative statement NOT the complete Statement of the TIME"
A More simple REFERENCE that EVERYONE seems to refer to is 99x
WHY Does 99x have a separate LISTING for amount of SALT to be added to WHAT was once the Original Mix.
WHY has KFC New Age in ALL old reference material say Add Salt to the Flour, and the Seasoning.
WHY Do 10 video's of KFC Open House Kitchens SHOW adding 1 Flour Bag, 1 Seasoning Bag, 1 Salt Bag or Box, 1 egg 7 milk Bag into a Lug combining 4 different part's into the Lug prior to sifting the combined MIX.
* People Please watch the Video's or review the Old manual's to SEE Salt is separate, Make a Informed decision based on the FACT's NOT fiction of a mis-guided Report where 100grams only Flour would be needed to be added ( was written in 1 Book or News Report WHICH MANY take as the Gospel. )
YET NOT ONE of the forum Knowhow's on this forum Had ONE on ONE meeting or conversation with Winston, Tommy, or Other Old Franchise Owners, or Cooked for K.F.C. BUT are Expert's in Knowing it ALL.
Why Do ONE of Ken's Forum Members Have a old BAG of K.F.C. Salt which is separate then the Seasoning.
Silver or ANYONE please answer How The old Manual's, The Video's and the Photo's of Separate Salt Bag's ARE considered PART of the 11 Herbs and Spices ? when they are separate in FACT

celery seeds is also a note bringer.
i remember I got so close when I used one tbsp of it per 2 cups of flour. The bitterness fades when cooked. giving you that pleasing vegetal nutty persistent aroma.
lots of basil (not sweet) also gave note. I think I will ditch cloves and have basil as Vial D. Remember the 4 chefs “cloves and mint” Basil is just that. But lots of it! enough to make your seasoning looks greenish like KFC today!!! Basil seeds is also an emulsifier, it’s leaves shared the same mucilagenous properties

Salt being separate is undisputed. But the means and methodology by which CHS conveyed his recipe to Winston Shelton, and the KFC System are completely separate issues.
I once made a split recipe, adding Celery Seed to one half, and Coriander Seed to the other half. The half with the Celery Seed exhibited no note or nuttiness (albeit being tasty, and preferred by my wife), while the half with the Coriander Seed was what I referred to at the time of my eating report as "Bingo!". Meaning very close to spot on... The Coriander delivered a nuttiness that the Celery Seed completely lacked. This is not to say that both can't be added.
