Seems they have released an OR tasting bag of Ruffles chips here. I will have to hit a grocery store while they last.

Ruffles Potato Chips are following other Brand around the world, There have been other Brands world wide selling 11 Herbs and Spices KFC Potato chips in the last years.

Caramel, Paprika, Turmeric, Natural Flavor.
In the Old Days Rum Extract was the replacer for Caramel f you did not have Caramel. please mixed rum extract and Brown sugar and heated it down to 3/4 the mixture then used it as a Caramel when the Brown sugar caramelized

The ingredient list looks like Aromat. Preface by saying I am not overly familiar with Aromat. But in the ingredients listing for Aromat. There appears to be “spices” along with salt, msg, garlic, onion, mushroom etc. Work would have to have been done to figure out how much more or less msg, salt and other ingredient were required. When adding to his base recipe for OR chicken. Is the feeling that aromat was replaced with pure msg and perhaps more or it’s when garlic was added. Interested in your timeline around this. Are you thinking Aromat was a Original KFC item ?
I would Like to Know what Name Aromat was introduced into the USA in the 1930's ?
I have Never seen a Aromat Container going back to 1930's
BUT MSG was introduced into the USA in the 1930 until 1940 BUT NOT UNDER THE NAME MSG or Monosodium Glutamate it was introduced as a Vegetable Protein imported under AJI-NO-MOTO not called MSG

Aromat was introduced in 1952. Korr had already been marketing bouillon for several decades. There is a German video that shows how the original Aromat is made. No measurements are given, but you can actually see the ingredients poured out. I have made a knock off Aromat recipe, but I dropped the project after my wife died. Aromat is the best condiment I have ever tasted and will raise a pizza's flavor 10 fold. Aromat contains oil, and I always found it interesting that some fellow who claimed he worked at KFC when they brined the chicken overnight mentioned that the brine mix had oil in it.

Many Seasoning have contain Oil in it, corn oil ETC.
Remember sunflower Oil is used also
