As For C.H.S. words he said it was also wrote in His Book
I started with Flour Salt, Pepper Like my Mom and others made the Fried Chicken back then, then I started adding Herbs the Family liked and got to 10 and 11 extra seasoning
Also C.H.S. Coined the Phrase From Durkee's who were advertising 12 secret ingredients in there Famous Dressing Mix and Meats Sauce.
So that was a advertising thing in the 1930's

I remember. I grew up in a bakery. My family dealt with taste and aroma. If you never ate it, then you don't have a clue, period. I have also discovered why and how salt ended up in the seasoning bags, but my progression, with comments allowed, is dependent upon reception, and the end of March Madness.

I just mixed up a variation of what I'm doing now. I switched some ingredients from being spices, to herbs and vice versa. Dang if the 4 spices (minus the peppers) don't smell like oranges.

Did CHS point to Good Seasons as a hint that herbs, and onion and garlic played a major part in creating the OR? When CHS's daughter was asked about herbs, did she go into protective mode when she responded that "there weren't many herbs in the OR"?
