I'm doing my first cook with mustard in I'd say 10 years. I am also trying Silver use of Celery Seed in place of Coriander. Can't wait to see if this moves me in a new direction. Or back to my normal track. |

It's getting more and more difficult to hold the line at 11 H&S. And now we have to add Mustard.  Do you think they are using Mustard Seed (a spice), or dried Mustard Greens (an Herb)? I'm guessing the seed (ground or powdered of course). Could also be that a blend like poultry seasoning was used and counted as 1. Instead of the 4 or so ingredients it may have held.

Having used multi-ingredient Chili Powder, I tend to agree, but it's really cheating!  |

OTOH, if I add 3/4 Mild Paprika, and 1/4 Smoked Paprika, is it one ingredient or two? "Grill flavor" ideas, anyone? Edit: Perhaps a drop of 'Wright's' Liquid Hickory Smoke.  |

Two weeks ago, Spain listed both celery and mustard as “does contain” allergens for pollo originale . It just changed, and the allergen report is dated late April..

DT They also had a 1939 original recipe special that had mustard but not celery and appeared more reddish in pictures. That led to speculation that celery salt (or seed) was one of the last few items finalized. |
