nut relish (Dukkah) would have to be Declared as a NUT Allergen ? Only if it had peanuts, or something in the peanut family. Nuts are not peanuts. And peanuts are not nuts. |

Dfn101, just curious. How old were you when you cooked with CHS?
How were you able to meet him? Was he a celebrity legend then?
What functions did he have you do?
Hope you took pictures with him.
Did he have a world wide view of the KFC brand then? Thnx.

The only obtainable source, as to Italian Seasoning, I have found is the Good Seasons Italian Seasoning mix. CHS said that it "was a good place to start". In my experience, Good Seasons is heavy with oregano, onion and particularly garlic. Anytime I cook any special dish, onion and garlic are first and foremost. This is what I believe CHS was hinting at. Then there was the story I read about the kid who watched CHS prepare chicken. Sanders rubbed a "batch" of some herb between his hands (as Italians do with oregano) and said it was oregano. The kid tried it at home and said that it ruined his chicken. Salt, MSG, white pepper, black pepper, onion, garlic, oregano, Vial K........ Anything else (jury still out on ginger) was a matter of taste. This is what CHS was saying, and this is what I've hinted at.

I have been associated with C.H.S. and Claudia since a We Lad and Helped on Missions originally.
C.H.S. and Claudia spent many Days with Associates and Friend's and Family
I started Cooking Commercially with Franchises long before they Knew what child labor laws were.
I have one of the Largest collection of C.H.S. on missions and K.F.C. working from Memorabilia purchases and Private Photo's from Family and Friends.
Family and Friends have been associated with C.H.S. since the 1950's until His passing.
Over a lifetime Have travel to every state in the USA and other countries and tried K.F.C. in more places than anyone
I Do NOT LIKE what KFC NEW AGE has done and have NO affiliation with them I have had ALL Ties signed with C.H.S. and the Charitable organization.
I Do Not care what KFC NEW thinks about my comments either The NEW AGE KFC is only extract based Ingredient's and they Blend more extracts than Real Spices and Herbs except seen the Jamaican KFC New Age Seasoning which is different than others
I will Agree with Willie the NEW AGE is a Salt and Pepper extract concoction.
It is NOTHING like original LOL

It is NOTHING like original LOL Wonderful experiences. There is often something that individuals who were started early in a craft, be it sports, science and any endeavor. That something cannot be taught. Some would say a gift. It’s a type of synergy that occurs when everything comes together. Did you ever come close to making your own creation. I wonder if CHS ever saw you as someone he was passing the torch to. Were those religious missions? |

C.H.S. and Claudia related to Us as FAMILY by virtue of Association not Blood BUT it Ran thicker than Blood for BOTH of them and Our Families Back to C.H.S. and Claudia they were welcome in our HOMES as Family and Could stay as long as they wanted while in Alberta.
There HAS NEVER been a NEW AGE Corporate or ANY Staff from New Age to Stay at our Homes WHATS THAT SAY for Corporate relationship
while mixing own versions of K.F.C. over decades and decades in different forums there have been attempts that were great YES
BUT everyone always challenged my amounts of ingredients in weight.
I can Say this Attempting to make the Original and adding Celery, Garlic, onion as one and counting them as 11 of the Herbs and Spices DOES NOT WORK.
the Vegetable are NOT included as the 11 Ingredient's
There are elements outside of the 11 Spices and herbs that make it Original KFC.
I Will undertake a Quest to SHOW EVERYONE That the Items listed ON past Present and Current KFC label's THE INGREDIENTS listed WERE NEVER PART ORF THE 11 Herbs and Spices NEVER EVER
They are outside items
C.H.S. stated that He started with Flour, Salt, Pepper then add 11 Secret Spices and Herbs KEY SPICES
so Salt, Pepper are NOT part of the 11 Spices and Herbs
NEW AGE adopted the 11 Herbs and Spices Slogan NOT C.H.S.

With the increasing interest in the Egyptian bag, I've sought translation help from a colleague from Egypt.
