The Allspice version:
200. Flour 30.0 Salt (or to your comfort level) ------------- 3.00 MSG [12] 4.75 Black Pepper(s) [1] 3.15 White Pepper [2] 1.25 Coriander [3] 1.10 Ginger [4] 1.00 Allspice [5] 0.75 Sage [6] 0.50 Anise Seed [7] 0.125 Thyme [8] 0.125 Marjoram [9] 0.125 Mace [10] 0.125 Garlic Powder [11]
Sum below dashed line = 16 11 H&S sum = 13
1) It's got the nominal heat level of Dustin's recipe that Glen appreciated 2) It's fully 26 ounce bag compliant as to the actual 11 H&S 3) It's fully 32 ounce bag compliant after the addition of famous ingredient #12 (MSG) 4) It's got Allspice 5) It's pre-Savory

Make it without MSG for a ballpark 1939(ish) clone attempt. Or if you are averse to the use of MSG. Bag = 26 ounce.
Make it with MSG for a ballpark 1955(ish) clone attempt. Bag = 32 ounce.

The Allspice version that has better and more logically workable pre-Metric "ounce denominated" fractions:
200 Flour 30.0 Salt (or to your comfort level) ------------- 3.00 MSG [12] 4.75 Black Pepper(s) [1] 3.125 White Pepper [2] 1.125 Coriander [3] 1.125 Ginger [4] 1.125 Allspice [5] 0.75 Sage [6] 0.50 Anise Seed [7] 0.125 Thyme [8] 0.125 Marjoram [9] 0.125 Mace [10] 0.125 Garlic Powder [11]

And lastly, fully scaled to 25 pounds of Flour (in ounces)
400. ounces Flour 60.0 ounces Salt (or to your comfort level) ------------- 6.00 ounces MSG [12] 9.50 ounces Black Pepper(s) [1] 6.25 ounces White Pepper [2] 2.25 ounces Coriander [3] 2.25 ounces Ginger [4] 2.25 ounces Allspice [5] 1.50 ounces Sage [6] 1.00 ounces Anise Seed [7] 0.25 ounces Thyme [8] 0.25 ounces Marjoram [9] 0.25 ounces Mace [10] 0.25 ounces Garlic Powder [11]
Sum below dashed line = 32 ounces 11 H&S sum = 26 ounces
1) It's got the nominal heat level of the Dustin recipe that Glen appreciated 2) It's fully 26 ounce bag compliant as to the actual 11 H&S 3) It's fully 32 ounce bag compliant after the addition of famous ingredient #12 (MSG) 4) It's got Allspice 5) It's pre-Savory 6) It's logical for weight in ounces

Of course it might also look like this, with equal weights of Allspice, Sage, Coriander, and Ginger (yet more logical?):
400. ounces Flour 60.0 ounces Salt (or to your comfort level) ------------------------------------------------------- 6.00 ounces MSG [12] 9.50 ounces Black Pepper(s) [1] 6.50 ounces White Pepper [2] 2.00 ounces Coriander [3] 2.00 ounces Ginger [4] 2.00 ounces Allspice [5] 2.00 ounces Sage [6] 1.00 ounces Anise Seed [7] 0.25 ounces Thyme [8] 0.25 ounces Marjoram [9] 0.25 ounces Mace [10] 0.25 ounces Garlic Powder [11]

Team Spice needs to ignore the fact that herbs are listed before Spices... Only way out would be acknowledging that Garlic, Onion or others have indeed been considered 'Herbs' like I had mentioned before? the other Potential is: Both Herbs and Spices are Equal amounts neither higher then the other. Therefore Herb goes before Spice as rule of Alphabetical becomes the typical listing method

I think there is packaging stating Vegetable Herbs and Spices. Or something along that line.

Very possible flg, but unfortunately we will never know the mind of the circa 1939-1950's Colonel Harland Sanders. As to label ordering on the box, since the recipe was never revealed, even within a patent (for which there is none), the ingredients can be order listed however CHS (and later, KFC) desire(d) to order-wise list them. No one can challenge this, as any challenge would require a factually accurate knowledge of the recipe. And even courts have no access to the recipe. This may be why the orders and revealed ingredients list seemed (and seems) to change periodically over time. It's all a mirage with intent to confuse replicating efforts.

I’ve always found that box DF101 posted interesting. Some sort of trial he tried and bailed out on.
12oz ~340g
280g Flour 42g Salt 14g H&S 4g MSG
Or so.
Agree hard to say why he listed herbs before spices. I think black and white pepper alone make up a minimum of 45% of your H&S mix.

Spice companies were mixing CHS's stuff before he sold out.
