I have cooked and eaten so much chicken the past couple of months that I've gained 20 pounds. I have made a discovery recently involving the spice companies that may be consequential. I have several angles to explore and a lot of cooking to do. I think I've narrowed this puppy down, taking into account all of the hurdles we have faced; weights, mixes, internet programs, misinformation, known historical statements, Gloria Pitzer, tomato soup, Good Seasons Italian dressing, 11 vials representing old KFC vs. new KFC, etc. The key, for me, has been the contention that coriander was not available in the 1930s, and oregano was not used until WWII, and also the KFC PR that there were 6 herbs and 5 spices. It would take a thesis to explain what I have concluded about the "whys" to all of these factors. I think it is best that I just cook and draw conclusions. The one piece of information that I am searching, which I posted about some time ago, was the use by CHS of pastry chefs years ago, in what capacity I'm not sure. Another is the idea that KFC once tasted like licorice, which I do not recall.
Here is one question I have solved. Why is/was coriander used in the OR when it was not readily available in the 1930s? Because it was in a mix that was broken down, and eventually obscured by the spice companies who provided for CHS, and KFC.

Kentucky Fried Chicken never tasted like licorice, but it also doesn't taste like a number of other potential ingredients. Proper balance and integration imply that individual flavors will (for many ingredients) not be obvious. If they were obvious, thousands of us would have the recipe by now.
I think you're spot on as to the Coriander. I think it was likely an ingredient from the onset.

About ginger, and whether is was the 13g or 13%. The OR already had a mix that contained ginger. KFC cut out the ginger because it was already in the mix. CHS flipped his noodle, so it was added extra. Both amounts together would be greater than 13% if done today.

Tommy S Chicken was way higher then 13% Ginger.
As far as the 13% it was Mustard as the NEW AGE removed the Mustard due to allergy issues and C.H.S. was more indulged in working on 99x also which had NO mustard

I have the Court Paperwork that was entered into the Courts, and the Transcripts of the Court Proceedings.
I also spoke to the Lawyers involved after the Case and tried to purchase the Recipe, There was a indication that it would be sold, so I contacted the Lawyers, as Directed. The Lawyers then indicated that the Recipe WAS NOT FOR SALE, But we had a 20 minute discussion about the Open Court Proceeding.

Please elaborate what your referring to with Gloria P "MULLTIPALS"
I have watched the 2 different times Gloria was on Donahue and Other TV Spots and Listened to Her Radio Nights with C.H.S. on the AIR.
I have full Transcripts of each Event also and DO NOT recall the Phrase Multiples in reference to C.H.S. or Donahue
or I'm misunderstanding what your referencing ?
Gloria had Multiple Tuesday Night Calls with C.H.S. before He was told NO MORE radio with Gloria P and it was even noted in the Lawsuit settlement with C.H.S. and Heublien.

Sorry I have seen very little of items you posted regarding Gloria P.
and if you would have posted what you posted above before I would have asked the same question I asked you above.
I Do Not recall Gloria P making that comment or In Print ?
I have ALL Her interviews with C.H.S. on the Radio and Her Most notable TV appearances also. I also had communications with Her and Met Her on multiple occasions. She never Mentioned that statement.
BUT C.H.S. made that statement on 1 TV interview in Canada and multiple other occasions.
WHICH is why I ask the Question.
