Aromat was Never used in KFC. Mushroom was a Ingredient that was NOT allowed in many countries Due to High sickness issues. Salmonella and other issues with cross between wild mushrooms. Only what was explained from Health Canada So mushrooms are illegal to serve in Canada? I could barely if at all detect a mushroom background. I found a site which specified that South African Aromat is irradiated. Being a product of Unilever it is likely processed to high standards. |

I'm not saying that Aromat is in KFC. I'm more inclined to say that things like the Autolyzed and Hydrolized yeast extracts, I+G, Hydrogenated fats, etc... that are likely in KFC are also found in Aromat. So Aromat is a means to get the real Umami stuff into your deep fried chicken. It is merely a playing field leveler. And it works big time!!!

Mushroom is in Aromat only as a extract. Mushroom extract is highly likely to be a natural form of MSG, perhaps with some I+G as well.

yes very similar type of taste been told.
we tried Mushroom powder and in OUR test people HATED it overwhelming
ONLY our own test
we Reference in our ingredient list May or may NOT contain MSG, at a rate lower the Potato chip company use.
THAT comment sparks conversation as PEOPLE DO NOT know Potato Chips contain some of the highest amounts of MSG.

Whatever Aromat is, it does not seem to be a Chicken Bullion Powder type of flavor enhancer. But a premium Chicken Bullion Powder might also work if it contains all of the Umami chemical goodness. usa.lkk.com/en/products/chicken-bouillon-powder |

He is not revealing all ingredients though. There is an ant or other insect in the flour escaping the seasoning shower at 2:15. Just saying. |

I think it got stirred in. Added protein.
PS: I once read where roughly 17% of the protein within wheat flour comes from the insects that get ground up in it.
So if your flour is 12% Protein, then 10% is inherent and 2% is from bugs.
