Is the current KFC 'Salt' bag 2-1/2 Lbs., or is it still 3 Lbs.? For bonus points, how many ounces of 'Salt' are present within the current 26 ounce 'H&S' bag? I thought the current bag was around 38oz .

Since there is no comma after the "vegetable", I am inclined to believe that it's supposed to be the adjective for herbs. Vegetable herbs + Spices. It could also serve as an adjective for both of course. Hence the singular. Indeed! It could be intended to be read as: Vegetable Herbs and Vegetable Spices. In which case the word 'Vegetable' may have been fully redundant, and as such it was later dropped from the ingredient lists.

It was either corporate seasoned flour plus salt, or regular flour plus corporate seasonings plus salt, in my understanding. However, due to the flour leaching and oxidizingthe oils away and dissipating the flavor, franchises were forced to “zing” the seasoned flour with a little extra seasoning, but i don’t think that was a special bag size. Until the practice was stopped, franchises zinged with 99X. Per Glen, Grace's zinged with 99X is the ticket to success. Same, same...

Paprika is a vegetable Spice . Dt Ditto for dried Ancho, or any other varietal of dried Chili Pepper. Perhaps Allspice also, albeit that some call it a dried fruit.

Add ginger to the vegetable list also. Ginger is a root. Are ginger leaves edible?

There is mention in the 1970 mangers manual near the autobreader section of adding 4 ounces of salt in the egg dip , and 6 ounces of KFC seasoning to the seasoned flour for “extra zing”.

Add ginger to the vegetable list also. Ginger is a root. Are ginger leaves edible? I was under the impression it was a root vegetable, like garlic (and onions) .

I think any edible root is a root vegetable. I'm leaning toward the word Vegetable wihin KFC ingredient lists from yore being redundant (as in unnecessary, and conveying no new information), and that's why it was eventually dropped.
