There's no way that they got the pepper right. Needs a lot more. Other than that it might make good chicken. I'd probably go with a cup and a half of flour rather than two cups. And a tablespoon of MSG wouldn't hurt.

Italian Dressing Mix is what Gloria P also commented with Tomato Soup It just might have been in the OR. Unless it doesn't go back to 1952.

I have commented about Durkee's Dressing Powder Package
They had package Ones back in 1925ish
Good Italian that Gloria P mentioned from Radio with CHS was around a long time also not certain about the 1930's BUT was around in the 1950's

I would use Nutmeg and Ginger instead of Celery and Thyme, since Italian good seasoning contains both Celery and Thyme too.
Should make good chicken, I don't imagine the secret recipe anything far from this.

Someone should capture the image of the 1952 recipe before it mysteriously vanishes from the internet, and save the image on this forum.

Good Host Italian Seasoning
Many moons ago when Gloria P was jumping up and down she found the Key item
We ran a simple reverse sieve separation of 2 Boxes of the seasoning IT WAS VERY CRUDE reverse of the spices and NOT high tech to our best assessment back then this was items. WE ONLY used simple crude method so this is NO 100% break down BUT you could pick out many items back then.
There was a more complicated break down done by a independent group. I currently Do Not know where that formula is BUT will look for it tomorrow
• Dry mix
• 2 tbls. salt • 1 tsp. pepper • 1 tbls. Sugar • • 1 tsp. basil • 1/4 tsp. celery salt • 1 tbls. garlic salt • 1 tbls. onion powder • 2 tbls. Oregano • 1 tbls. parsley • 1/4 tsp. thyme
