Purely as an aside, is there unequivocal substantiation that CHS stole that which was originally Eula's deep fried chicken recipe? No obfuscation please! Best I can find was a news article from her relatives. Their “beef” wasn’t financial but was she didn’t get the recognition they hoped she would have. So trust in that is her relatives perspective. And we will never know if true. How much of the idea or flavor was hers. From what I can tell the published Eula recipes are likely not real. As the family claimed she wouldn’t even share it with them.

The only lead out of what I can put together is the notion it may have heavily relied on a commercial seasoning salt. But also circumstantial as no one provides more detail or collaborates.

You Can't Handle the Truth ? If I tell you anything it will be Mocked any ways So Question What is COMMERCIAL SEASON SALT in 1930 Answer it WAS NOT Lawry's or McCormick Season Salt. It Was Celery, Garlic, Inion Salt WHICH ONLY had to Be listed as Salts typically since they started Smoking Salts and Seasoning Salts in the 1920's more often then earlier years

Yes as I previously posted.
Savor Salt would likely be the leading candidate if Eula used one in her chicken.

Savor salt was bought by McCormick and changed. Then sold to Morton’s when McCormick bought Lawry’s. And Morton changed it.
Not sure of all the changes along the way. But Morton’s today should not be considered close

No. Old folks' taste buds are all that we have. Some purported information that will solve the riddle has not, nor will it ever be revealed, because it doesn't exist. The only valid response of any substance would be the revelation of that information. Don't hold your breath.

My radical KFC cloning effort thought for the day: 'Old Bay Seasoning' looks a lot like the mysterious 11 H&S. A Homemade 'Old Bay Seasoning' recipes list of Ingredients: 3/4 tablespoon salt 1 tablespoon celery seed 2 teaspoons sweet paprika 1 teaspoon ground dry mustard 1 teaspoon ground ginger 5 bay leaves 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon ground mace 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/16 teaspoon ground cloves
It may prove interesting to simply make a clone recipe with only about 16 grams of commercial 'Old Bay' plus 200 grams of flour, salt, and B&W pepper.

Stick to MSG as the AHHA 12th item From the Boat trip.
Proof of M.S.G.
It was listed on the OLD Bags before the M.S.G was made mandatory as a listed item in many counties and K.F.C. New Age admitted using MSG Long Before Many other Companies ever spoke about it.
The Salt Boxes of K.F.C. Never listed the M.S.G. ONLY the OLD SEASONING Bags ? while the Seasoning Bags Listed Salt. M.S.G. In the First 2 locations WHICH THROWS everyone OFF as they think they are the HIGHEST AMOUNT ITEMS - TE OLD LABEL Laws said Mandatory LIST ITEMS were to be listed FIRST not in a Highest Volume descending ?
Salt, M.S.G Mandatory item's then the descending list begins Peppers, Vegetable, Herbs, and Spices. was what many counties adopted as proper listing
The Barrel in the M.S.G Label says it was Part of the K.F.C. Chicken (NOT the 11 Herbs and Spices)

We had some highly aged 'Old Bay Seasoning' hanging around, but since we never used it my Wife finally tossed it out. Right before I had this revelation of course...
