My radical thought for the day:
After using both to pepper/spice scrambled eggs, ground Tabasco Pepper (~50K Scoville) tastes much better than Cayenne Pepper (~40K Scoville).

Did you think there was much more Heat to the Tabasco Pepper vs Cayenne Pepper ? Not really. Just more pronounced and better flavor. But I didn't weigh them, and merely sprinkled on, so if I did weigh them the heat level difference may have shown up.

Did you think there was much more Heat to the Tabasco Pepper vs Cayenne Pepper ? To be honest, to my taste buds (admittedly trained to love hot/spicy) neither tasted hot when sprinkled on the scrambled eggs. This has me wondering why their use brings out concerns of excessive heat from my recipes? What both did was impart much better flavor than Black Pepper.

When Tabasco Pepper (freshly picked, dehydrated, ground, and definitely not Tabasco Sauce) tasted as delicious as it does, it deserves a chance to stand alone in the Pepper category:

The bottom four ingredients could be removed and substituted with 1 gram of Allspice, but I think that Nutmeg, Clove, Mace, and Cinnamon taste somewhat better.
