As I said the Time period for Leon Pete Harmon Trip with C.H.S. time coloration is the Australia Mission where he went to try and stop cursing which DID NOT work.
I had received a Exact Date the Conversion was and then inquired when C.H.S. returned back to Salt Lake City and reunited with Leon Pete Harmon. which was 2 weeks later when He returned to see Leon Pete cooking massive amounts of chicken.
Leon Pete Harmon Did Not change the recipe He worked out a Deal to have excusive rights for Utah and Montana Franchises.
As for the Boat trip the Corbin Boat Trip was what Noe Called the 1955/1956 Boating season which meant the summer of 1955, One year before the Sale of the Cafe' and the Road building change that was happening which took the Traffic away from the Main road Past the Cafe'
As for the element C.H.S. used in the Two Handful added to the already seasoned Flour C.H.S. was already using the ELEMENT in his cooking and was familiar with it. He explained that on 2 interviews in Canada and is VERY clear that the 11 Spices and Herbs were set Prior in 1939 and 16 Years earlier Do the MATH 1939 plus 16 years = 1955 there is NO ROCKET SCIENCE to the Date when You listen to the Interviews.
C.H.S. said on Many times 1939 was the Year of the Seasoning and the Pressure cooker was 1940. If you view Bertha His favorite Pressure cooker its from 1940. The Pressure cooker I have are from 1940 which came from C.H.S. collection. they were Smaller Pressure cookers originally.
C.H.S. was familiar with M.S.G. and using it for other cooking BUT M.S.G had NO recipe for use in the Fried Chicken until after 1960's.
M.S.G Did Not return back into the USA until late 1949 BUT was NOT marketed to Retail until late 1951 when Ac'cent started a slow sales campaign and in 1953 started a Larger sales Marketing as they were able to obtain Larger amounts of M.S.G. by 1954. Up until 1952 the Majority of the M.S.G was contact sold to 3 Companies ONLY due to Limits of Import. In i954 they were allowed the Import Much more M.S.G. which is shown in the F.D.A. reports and the IRS Trade Import amount increase on Tons imported in 1954.
I made 100's of Phone calls to obtain ALL the ATIP documents from IRS and HomeLand Security for the volume of Spices and Herbs and M.S.G. imported from 1905 and still receive Year update in 2023. I contacted Ac'cent and inquired the when they showed M.S.G in Fried Chicken and they sent me the 1960's Company information they had.
The Problem Is NONE OF YOU have every picked a Phone Up and spent Hundreds of hours of time doing REAL HANDS ON RESEARCH or met the Real people involved. I know some of you have purchased some items like pressure cookers or items.
I have Had K.F.C. New Age try and Buy some Memorabilia in the Past from Canada as they Had NO control over the Canadian Content. I was offered Sums of money for the Original K.F.C. seasoning Bags that Claudia Used, and offers to purchase the Original Marion Kay Chicken seasoning bags delivered to Canada By Bill S from Marion kay to Calgary.
I know the Time frame and Date of more things then ANYONE can imaging because I make the inquiries.
I have posted many times WRITE the F.D.A. or other places for ATIP and NO ONE HAS.
The ONLY dilemma currently faced is for a accurate Date time frame. A Ink portion of the Documents need to be examined and tested. which May obscure the Document or could permanently mark the document. I have NOT decided what to Do with the Test as I Do Not want the Documents POSSIBLY damaged.
NOT when the Possibility of the Documents being Older then the Recipe which New Age K.F.C. has in the Value. which was written by C.H.S. after Hubeon Bought the K.F.C. Franchise as John Brown Kept the Original One he Had and would NOT give it the Company and C.H.S re wrote the existing recipe for the NEW OWNERS in the Late 1960's or early 1970's John Brown advised.
Marion Kay, Bill S would have been mixing the recipe for Marion kay Chicken Seasoning with a 100% method and scaled to formula, as his equipment was already set to use that technology.
Claudia Said she used Portion Cups and Portion Size Containers that were filled and leveled and mixed together C.H.S. Found the exact size items to use from his scaling up. to mix larger Batch of the 11 Spices and Herbs.
By the Time Spice and Herb was mixed in Canada Privately By C.H.S. a small cement drum style mixer was used. which Roll tossed the spices together. The Transportation to Canada Via Rail and other method were less then Great because of Harsh winter and sending items over the Rockies.
The Original Barrels Corrugated Wax 100Lbs were M.S.G Barrel shipped from Overseas and Label to the Purchaser. C.H.S. used the empty drums to Mix 11 Herbs and Spices and used the M.S.G. Barrels as Free Storage.
C.H.S. was the ONLY one who worked on the Original 11 Spices and Herbs.
Bill S from Marion Kay made a change to the recipe and added 1 additional item #12 and if you view Grace's Information the SAY 12 ingredient's
New Age K.F.C. hired private contactors to help change it

Ok,
So in 1952 and the exact date is not important to this question. He meets and eventually franchises to Pete. Then in summer of 1955. Nearly 3 years later, and by this time there are accounts that he had a few more outlets franchised. He gets the boat trip order. Uses the mystery ingredient. Because in his own words. He didn't want to try it on his regular customers. But he was already branched out in the summer or 1955 to include customers not even in his state.
Nearly 3 years into their relationship. Did Pete actually have more to do with the final ingredient than what CHS states?
Could he not have chosen to make a small change to one of the little burger joint outlets he had franchised already? Why try it on such a massive order other than "not his regular customers"
I think there is a valuable piece of info in all this. And likely why in all of the interviews and articles I have read. No hard date for the boat order is given. Yet he was pretty good recanting dates for other actions.
It really is meant to read in these that the extra ingredient happens much earlier in the timeline. Which doesn't seem true.

Two pieces of information are required here. The date "it" was added, and "what" was added. Knowing one sheds no light upon the other. And in the end all of this becomes irrelevant to specifically the task of making deep fried chicken taste like KFC OR.
Chasing the likelihood of "it" being MSG makes it all the more irrelevant, as every KFC OR seasoning "bag" ever photographed prominently admits to MSG being an ingredient.

And a third piece of information is also required here, namely "truth". Stories get fabricated, perpetuated, embellished, etc... over time, such that what was originally told as a lie becomes the truth, even to the initial teller who once knew it wasn't truth.

This is what I have noticed and why to me. And you can have your own opinion. It is important to find collaborating info with dates for all these stories.
I've noticed another area where I found hard dates . And these dates shoot down a story we have heard on this forum multiple times.

That's 200 people. All of whom remain utterly silent. I figured around 200 people as well. I'd love to see photos of the boat. Looking at Noe's dock and I have been around and in boating for 50 years. I have some questions about that dock and boarding and containing 200 people. Reports to have been a busy summer destination for fishing etc. Now perhaps they didn't depart from there or at the dock. But that's where CHS loaded in??
Not that this has anything to do with the recipe. Just curious.

As for the boat trip. I concluded it was 1953 and Ken maintained it was 1952. My argument required a later date than 1952, so 1956 works for me and supports my argument, whatever it was at the time. It may have been the possible use of Aromat. I see it as a non-issue at this time. I do recall that the food convention CHS attended was in 1952 and the fortuneteller predicted "something" the next year. Something I read indicated that the boat order came the same year, or 1953. CHS could very easily have called the lake by its present name when he dictated the story. I will look for it, but again, it is a non-issue. If I find it, then someone must counter it with some "physical" corroboration. LOL.

Noe had 250 people attending the Boat Docking which was a trip from Upstream and a Docking at His New Dock the order was for 2 pieces of chicken for each person 250 guests.
They ate at the Dock party when the Large Boat arrived. the food was served On shore NOT on the Boat. The Boat carried 200 Passenger and Staff with 35 extra guest and dignitaries expected and possible other where the extra 15 were figured upon.
The event was wrote about in the Cumberland Lake District Historical Pages and Newspapers of that Boating season.
When I met the the original owners who were selling C.H.S. Chicken before Leon Pete Harmon became involved they spoke about the Boat Dock story and it was a Big thing in that Day. What people seem to NOT understand Prior to Leon Pete Explosion with the Colonels Chicken there were 4 YEA 4 small locations selling the chicken as a ad on Menu item. I met with ALL 4 Original People who C.H.S gave me their names and possible contacts or restaurant's he knew by the Time I had contact the alive Parties there were some family members who had passed on.
Many of the people who were involved with C.H.S. knew him for a long time, Like Noe. C.H.S cafe' Motel was NO small thing people He was a Local major attraction in that time and People traveled to HIS LOCATION until it closed.
C.H.S. Knew what M.S.G was and says He Knew of the item he wanted to Try.
Just because M.S.G was list on the Bags Does NOT mean it was a Original 11 Spices and Herbs it means it was incorporated into the 11 Spices and Herbs. Blens as a extra.
THERE IS NO WHERE with ANY F.D.A. or C.F.I.A. or ANY other WORLD food organization of regulatory Board group trade ETC ETC that the Package was SOLELY Labeled 11 Herbs and Spices it was the Colonel Original Seasoning ETC BUT NEVER NEVER just shown as ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY 11 ingredients
The last Video Glen and friends Showed is a 1980's version or late 1970's recipe.
Read ANY post I have wrote regarding the Video Number 9 from glen and friend I stated its NOT the Original and it was One circulated in the late 70's 80's early time span.
