Mr radical thought for the day:
IMHO, some likely frauds and/or deceptions and/or misdirection's to be aware of:
1) "It must conform to Winston Shelton" 2) "You can't taste ingredients below a certain ridiculously high threshold" 3) "It must conform to 99-X" (which arrived so late as to be irrelevant) 4) "B&W Pepper are not to be counted among the 11" 5) "MSG is not to be summed within the "bag" (and was added separate) 6) "Celery, Garlic, and Onion" are vegetables and not to be counted among the 11" 7) "There are 6 herbs and 5 spices" 8) "It must conform to a 'pre-retail 99-X' recipe concocted by Marion K. (Bill) Summers"

#2 above is a derivative of the "If a little is good a lot MUST be better" fallacy. But this one might as well have it's own category. Therefore:
9) "If a little is good a lot MUST be better"

Why Do You Not add more 9) Gloria Pilzer Never spoke to C.H.S. and did NOY know the Original Seasoning was More Red Tone (But there are 3 Radio Calls where she spoke to C.H.S. on Air) 10) Todd Wilbur was a Plant and never knew how to cook chicken and debunk any recipes (BUT people on seen said the Chicken He cooked had Aroma like K.F.C.) 11) Tommy & Sherry S. were Never in court against KFC AND TOMMY S DID NOT say in court there is NO Ginger in a Stuffing recipe and LOTS of Ginger. (court records show it) 12) Tellicherry Pepper is ONLY a size of Pepper 13) M.S.G. is defined as some Wild Herb ? 14) Just ADD .25g of all 11 Herbs and Spices and it will be Perfect? 15) C.H.S. said that Typical Southern Fried Chicken was Over Seasoned so he used Less seasoning then Southern Fried Chicken. 16) K.F.C. New Age Did Not Hire consultants to Save Oil cost which was a Heavy Cost to Franchises and Still is, Paprika was found to cause Oil deuteration. 17) The Original K.F.C. used Pigeon C.H.S. caught in the wild for FREE. PFK Pigeon Fried in Kentucky

All interesting thoughts and extremely helpful.
Personally I have spent a lot of time going over and building a timeline. While this is also difficult as posted documents and timelines don’t match each other. So you need to deep dive to try to find out why. Most seem to be mistakes by whoever published an article etc. Others have no clear answer to pin down.
Laying these out starts to show you how some of these above made it into the stories. Or leads to some question as to how two contradictions may both be correct. I say might.
I started a blog around the timeline. My personal theories and set out what may make something true verses not. I’m over 7 typed pages and still lots to go.
Might be something others look to do. Putting things down in writing and reviewing sheds some light. Place your theory against a good timeline. Or continue this type of banter.

Here is a good example: Exactly when did the boat trip with the 500 piece order happen? BTW I know deepfriednew101 has posted 2 dates in the past 1955 and 1956. What collaborating document or documents does someone have to pin that down. That are publicly available. I know when the dam aloud for the flooding. When the river was flooded and when Noe's dock was opened. But can't get that last piece or haven't found it yet. Most likely 1953 - 1955 When did Pete start selling KFC - Easy date to find. What came first the chicken or the egg?

I time line for me would be so long to type it would be 50 Pages.
I have spoke to so many People and Asked them what Dates were or what season ETC.
When I spoke to Noe about the Boat Dock they spoke in a 2 year time 1955/1956 year it had to Do with Boating season and event season ETC ETC.
I had been given the Date and Photo of the Event From Noe, and copy of a New paper clipping. The order of Chicken was the Largest Meal C.H.S. had catered at that time, Is what C.H.S. explained when asked about the Cumberland lake Day.
Here is the Key Difference Between Me and other I have NEVER been afraid to make a Telephone call or meet, and discuss the event the newspaper clipping or the court case. I ask the questions that fall between the cracks.
It's like the Hand written recipe from C.H.S. I have reached out to a Original Family in Canada that worked with C.H.S. and asked them can we COMPARE Chicken recipes of C.H.S. as they say they have a Hand written recipe which C.H.S. gave the 5 founding Canadian charitable organizers, and the One I have received.
Its called investigative time patterning. I know there may be different recipes as Claudia Said C.H.S. always knew how to change the recipe if he had to. They had supply issues Claudia said and C.H.S. always knew what to do and wrote it down.
I know the Recipe I have makes K.F.C. chicken and Do Not need a education on What Celery, Garlic, Onions are? They become the huge part of the Aroma when added to the 11 Herbs and Spices and other items. LEAVE them out and you Loose Part of the Aroma and Taste.
BUT they are NOT in the 11 Herbs and Spices so that suggest upwards of 14 ingredients plus salt The Pepper is NOT all concentrated in the Flour Seasoning and multiple grinds.

I have searched the internet for hours. Have photo's of the boat dock. Easy to get. Found a thread with a bunch of folks telling stories from their childhood. But no hit yet on the boat trip.

When you read articles like his autobiography. It makes it sound like he was still cooking in his establishment. Thinking about this mystery ingredient and boom. Finally a big order for strangers. Add it in and lock the recipe down. Done!
However. If the timeline is right on that boat trip (1955-56). He already had the deal in place with Pete. I think it's safe to assume Pete had some input on helping move the franchise concept forward. Pete had been selling KFC Chicken out of his restaurant for 3 years. And by 1956 CHS had 6-8 total agreements in place for early franchising. So assume some of those existed in 1955. So whatever he did to the recipe. He had to retro fit back into the existing outlets. Which wasn't complicated. But I'm betting he would have been very cautious to what this ingredient was/did to the flavor. All to say it was more than the people eating the 500 pieces he had to consider in what he did. People eating for 3 years out of Pete's place would have noticed the change.
Any earlier for the boat trip and it would likely be just Pete that the change would impact. Pete may have even been aware of the proposed change too. He knew the original OR recipe.
