My radical thought for the day is that KFC could actually give the real recipe to someone and ask them to post it openly on the internet anonymously as merely an average Joe/Josette claiming no direct ties to corporate or to CHS, and the greatest probability is that no one would ever bother to cook it whereby to lend comment upon it. Such malaise is indicative of the current state of utter disinterest in the true pursuit of the recipe, and I fear that as a consequence this dismal fate would be a rather highly likely outcome.

Totally agree! Even if it did openly become known as "the recipe", anyone under age 50 would not likely ever cook it. KFC is probably on the bottom of the list for go-to chicken shacks, especially in the US, and in Canada too.

I proudly informed my 3 children (established middle aged adults) of my recent appreciable recipe success, and not one of them could care less. They literally don't even want to look at a printed copy of it. They instead want to know why I would even bother to waste my time on it, let alone waste their time.

Ditto here too! Not one of my siblings (all in their 60's) or friends have ever asked for a recipe, or even asked what the secret ingredient is.

And they probably remove onions from their hamburgers, and cheese from their pizzas, as my sister does.

And they probably remove onions from their hamburgers, and cheese from their pizzas, as my sister does. Onions yes for some of our kids, but cheese no. Another generational difference is that when my wife and I eat chicken there isn't much left sans bone, and joint gristle quite also often vanishes also, along with what we jokingly refer to as the "mystery meat" (some sort of organ meat) that sits on the internal side of the thigh "oyster". but when our adult/kids eat chicken they leave nigh-on an entire meal attached to each bone. The wife and I are children of parents who grew up during the Great Depression. They instilled upon us the value of eating everything you are given. We attempted to pass on these skills, but failed for some reason.

My radical KFC OR thought for the day is that hands down the absolute best way to completely turn off 99.999% of those purportedly interested in discovering a path to the flavor/note of KFC OR is to honestly and earnestly announce that you have found a path and then openly publish it in fine detail for all to see.
As opposed to this, the absolutely best way to hands down keep them interested is to state that you have found it but that you will not reveal it.

My thought for the day is that there is a eucalyptus note to the O.R and it's a critical element in the "note" the question is tho, is it from cardamom or is it from bay leaves? both work very good but i see no reason for there to be both when you only need 1.

Neither Bay nor Cardamom are at all necessary to evolving the unique note in my learned opinion. And I offer three fully independent cooking attestations, plus the attestation of myself, my wife, and our middle aged son that I've achieved the definitive note without using Bay or Cardamom as my proof. No harm in trying either of them though. Many have done so over the years (albeit without definitively expressing that they have evolved the unique note thereby).
