ChatGPT couldn't translate the topmost of the two choices, stating that it appeared to be a mishmash of Arabic and made up words. It only made a stab at the bottom of the two choices after making guesses at a number of misspelled words.

ChatGPT says: "Please mix the following herbs together (sweet pepper, fennel seeds, basil, caraway, cardamom, celery, coriander, hot watercress, cumin seeds, black cumin, radish, mustard, hot pepper, cumin powder, anise, oregano, turmeric, and vanilla), salt, and garlic powder." Could "black cumin" as seen within the Egyptian bags list of ingredients be nigella? From Wikipedia: Edit: Highlighting is my doing. It seems to hit several key flavor note boxes. And potentially aroma note boxes as well. Not that CHS ever used it, but there are multiple paths to the brass ring.

There you go...
(Perhaps someone can translate the arabic text... Anyone...?) I’m new here and I came across with this post. Ordered some of the spices like vanilla beans, cumin etc. Man, its nowhere near KFC. Cumin was too strong, dill was very prominent, fennel was also strong. The smell of Marjoram, Sage and Cloves on my fingers was missing. Black & white peppers are missing too. I seriously think Ken’s recipe is one ingredient away from the OG recipe. Its either KFC ferment some type of chili pepper or is using an artificial flavor; 11 herbs & spices + artificial flavor? Or they fermenting the black and white peppers with the 11 herbs and spices? One bag of KFC seasoning is like 95% black and white peppers. To sum it all up, I think this is some kind of propaganda KFC created to mislead us; same thing they did with Chicago Tribune leaked recipe.

What people seem to NOT reflect on HIS these Bags are K.F.C. NEW AGE
K.F.C. NEW AGE has tried Different type of regional seasoning in different countries The Above Bag was a Regional Style Flavored KFC version in that Country and is NOT a Bag for the Original Style KFC.
One of the BEST examples of regional spiced KFC version chicken which is NOT the Original KFC is in Jamacia try eating the Spicy or BBQ Chicken if you eat either of those regional Chicken at KFC YOU WILL NOT want the Original KFC the FLAVOR profile is unreal
Yes the Original KFC Chicken in Jamacia is great BUT falls short of the extra Flavor the regional items have.

Bought one bucket of original KFC chicken and I seriously think they are using artificial flavors. I already spend $3000 on quality herbs and spices and I still cannot figure it out. I gave up, its time to move on to Popeyes!

And you don't believe that they also use artificial "flavor enhancers"? Just do some research, and learn the legal code names for flavor enhancers. I don't want to be critical, but I'll use grocery stores as an example.
These large delivery trucks that bring food stuffs to grocery stores, if watched, would be seen stopping at every different grocery store chain, dropping off substantially the same items. Different regions often get localized items, but that is quickly disappearing, as independent companies must pay shelving fees to the grocery store chains, so get delivered by the same carriers.
All fast food franchisees are owned by large corporations, and use mostly the same "flavor" distributors. Few exceptions.
I do agree that real ingredients are what I want to use. Hang in there. It may be closer than you think. After all, DFN has the original KFC recipe.

Willie You are 100% correct that every Box Franchise uses Preservatives, and Enhancers and more extracts than PURE Spices and Herbs
it's Not to say you CANNOT Get Flavor from pre-ground spices and herbs but you are settling for Less Flavor as the 2024 Packaged Spices and Herbs pre ground Have been found to have a Staggering amount of Fillers and up to 30% Filler ?
I will Give this TIP from the Original BBQ Recipes C.H.S. Hand wrote in the 1950's
HE SPECIFICIALLY wrote the words Rubbed, Granular, Powdered in reference to the Spices and Herbs
Spices and Herbs words were used which Set the essential Law as Spice should be Higher than Herbs 6 Spices 5 Herbs in the 11 Secret Recipe.
The Oldest K.F.C. Bag Labels indicated Vegetables, Seasoning also Listed with Spices, Herbs
in the 1960's K.F.C. admitted to the Use of M.S.G.
Oldest Documented T.V. interviews and Taste test spoke to a softer Red Rose fried coating and C.H.S. also indicated the Wing have the most Coating pressed into the Egg and milk dipped Fried Chicken and the Drumsticks were Double breaded.
These Points above are reflected in the Hand written Recipe which is Very Detailed in the C.H.S. BBQ Recipes from the 1950's
