Finally received my waring spice grinder. Wow this thing is a beast and best grinder i've ever used. You can feel the power in it, and has a nice solid powerful feel when grinding and very smooth. The pulse function is really good. Ground black pepper up in no time and super strong smell from the pepper cause it's getting grinded properly. The old cheap $70 one i had that is similar design with removable cups etc was truly a joke. It felt like motor is going to burn out and not powerful enough. Also took ages to grind anything fine, and then after the herb/spice would smell weak, and then weak flavour in cooking. Finally can start cooking again now. I was worried it might feel cheap/ not worth the money. Nope. Can feel the power and solidness in it, this thing could easily grind up whole nutmegs. Also has better blade design than the cheap one i had. www.waringcommercialproducts.com/p/173j1/commercial-heavy-duty-electric-spice-grinder

The Key with Any High Speed Metal Blade Grinder is Pulse Grinding so you Do Not over Heat the spices But pulse grinding only works if it's strong/sharp enough to grind in short bursts. My other cheap one was impossible to pulse grind with because even if you held the button down it took ages to grind it fine, if you tried with pulse it would take all day. That's why pulse with this one is so good.

Anyone have or use one of these? I’ve been thinking about buying one but the smallest option is $300US.

use a pestle and mortar cheaper I use a molcajete then go to an even finer mortar and pestle. But it takes forever to get enough of just 1 herb for a batch for 2 chicken let alone multiple chickens. So for a 10# bag of flour it’s not efficient to mill herbs that way.
