There have been others who have simply said take caraway and chew some of the seed and also grind the Caraway and smell the Aroma Punch it can carry.
Then compare it to K.F.C.
Some claim to say it appears in the Mix
the Other item which carries similar Taste or Aroma is Fennel Seed which others have suggested may have been in the Original
In either Item being used it comes down to the taste they are finding
past experiments on Both the Fennel and the Caraway has Our catering using Fennel in Pizza and Spaghetti's sauce
Caraway Has been Used in Many Chicken Recipes and we have used it in Fried chicken In All the Photo's I have of the C.H.S. oldest Kitchens I never saw a Caraway Spice tin BUT there may have been behind other Tins BUT the Ones in the Front Never showed Caraway.
Does the Flavor have potential I think you need to try a Tri Blend of Flour Wheat, Corn, Barely. it will Give a more earthy Flavor to the Coating similar to adding Caraway into the Mix

Can you please elaborate, I am rather confused.

Not every herb/spice he used in the recipe would have been captured in a photo taken of his kitchen. There's probably many of the knowns that weren't captured in those photos either.

CHS was too crafty to just set his recipe out front for all to see. If others "positioned" the kitchen for photos, then ...... it's the same as the vials photo.

I have said for Decades that the Flour was a Tri-Blend for decades.
It has a More deeper earthy Taste and produced a softer crust.
I have posted Caraway was used and Coriander was not available back in the 1930's many times In individual spice tins
as for Coriander I mentioned that it was added By Bill S. Marion Kay as His 12th Item which C.H.S. added Flavor to the Original 11
in 1939 Caraway was easily found in spice tins and Botanical use. I have many Boxes. Jars and Tins from the 1920's of Vintage Caraway containers
I DO NOT have 1930 Coriander Spice Tins from the 1930's they were Later in the late 1940's and 1950's It was blended into many season blends Prior to the Individual Packaged items.
Many spice seasoning like Chili and Others contained Caraway in some brands.

Many spice seasoning like Chili and Others contained Caraway in some brands. The main question was, if Caraway was merely a new age item (=introduced by KFC after CHS) or if CHS used it as well? I don't think you have answered my question. The Coriander debate is ongoing and we know your position. You are demanding images of tins. I am demanding the rationale behind "standalone spice" as a specific criterion for the OR, given that coriander was part of poultry seasonings and pickling spice during that era, making it quite likely a spice familiar to CHS. He later gave his blessing when MK added (does not mean introduce) Coriander to 99-X. The presence of Coriander in 99X is a fact. Your claim that Coriander was introduced by Bill is not a fact you can back up. Let me repeat my question for your convenience, as I am sure your new following and the new readers would be interested in your response: What is the reasoning behind requiring a spice to be sold in single standalone tins for it to be considered part of the OR?Thank you very much in advance.

I had 10 pounds of KFC flour some time back. I cooked with it. As a boy who grew up near and around many types of flour, I must say that it was just regular flour. Could not tell any difference from it and the various flours I have used. And my pressure cooker was working at the time. I consider these discussions, like flour, numbers, backwoods juju beans from Borneo, and unverified testimonials, as distractions and deterrences. I've indicated this many times before, that there is way too much BS. If you ain't cookin', you ain't lookin'!

Because i can tell you right now, i 100% without doubt, detected it over, and over again on the O.R chicken. Don't believe me, come to Australia and try the chicken yourself, or get someone else you know who lives in Australia to check it for you. (idk if they use it in other countries) First make sure they become familiar with the taste of nigella seed.

I never disputed your nigella seed claim. I indicated that I would try them, if, and when, I could find them. I also have indicated that I rarely shop online. Are you paranoid? Why are you including me in a nigella seed discussion, when all I commented on was KFC flour? That, my friend, is a distraction. Stirring up dirt when there is no rhyme or reason to do so. I also disputed your cocoa claim by indicating that if you could detect nigella seeds on cooked KFC chicken, then I should be able to discern cocoa, or chocolate in my dry mixes. And I don't.

You fail to detect or see that cinnamon is in the recipe so i don't trust your opinion much at all sorry. Just because you don't detect a herb/spice in the chicken doesn't mean it's not in there. Some you can detect, some you can't. Tho, i can't believe you can't detect one of the most obvious ones which is cinnamon. Your spice bags must be bunk. And you think another 100%er of mine which is fenugreek, taste funky. It tastes amazingly savoury, not funky at all. You also think vanilla isn't good on chicken when it is. And it's in the recipe by use of custard powder. And idk what you think about caraway.
