Lee I believe was stand alone as he did already know the OR recipe exactly. I agree that Lee (being family) most likely knew the recipe well enough for all practical purposes. What confuses me is how he got smashed down in court (before his 'Famous Recipe Chicken' business even opened it's doors) by not being allowed to use the recipe. And secondarily by not being allowed to mention his "factual" family ties to CHS. |

Lee sold his Chicken via his partnership with Harold. Out of Harold’s Take Home sometime in 1966. The court case was settled in 1968. So as mentioned. Corporate was on to Lee right out of the gate. You’d suspect some prior confrontation may have happened before he left KFC in 1965
Corporate had an eye on him day one

I get it not bothering others not caught up in digging into the timelines. But that 500 piece order really stands out more to me than it did a few weeks ago. I really don’t like the notion it was summer 1955.
By 1954 he had lots of marketing materials. I found advertising for some of his newly signed franchisee’s etc. He was way out of the gate even before he sold the Cafe in 1956. 1953 for that order to me would make way more sense.
It just pops off the page as an odd time to make a change you been contemplating for awhile as per his own words

The Settles Gained Nothing from the Court case action except TV Noticeability on the Today Show, where they Did a Cook-Off against the New Age K.F.C. Bucket Chicken supplied By the Nearest Franchise Store.
The Comments were that The Recipe that tommy and Cherry Cooked was more Flavorful and Better than K.F.C. from the People who ate the cook-Off Chicken. This Proved the recipe they have was a Recipe for Chicken NOT Stuffing.
The Only thing that Became was the Settle had a legal Bill for defending the Rights to the Recipe. The Judge Did Have the recipe in the Court House and ordered it returned to the Settle as NEW AGE K.F.C. acknowledged NOT the Original and a 1960's possible recipe ?
Tommy and Cherry said they WILL NOT SELL the recipe as it has to much Historical Value to the Family. I offered the lawyer a Large sum of money for the recipe in that Era. He said they refused the Offer.
As for Silvers Point that K.F.C. will not acknowledged the Fact its a Real Recipe.
I think K.F.C. Plays Hard Ball with Threat and Intimidation upon ones who they Challenge.
K.F.C. claims Intellectual Property Rights. and works on that Base to Influence the Courts. They always Get a exparte' Order against Named Plaintiffs.
What I have I claim as NOT a KFC Original Chicken Recipe / I claim as a Colonel Sanders Chicken Recipe it is unproven as associated to K.F.C. at this point. and I have stated MANY times NOW the Recipe I have contains MORE then 11 Herbs and Spices on Pantry Shelves Plus other Vegetables and Spices or Herbs. Just because it's In C.H.S. hand writing Does NOT make it NEW AGE K.F.C. Property it Now is Property of the custodian of C.H.S. estate memorabilia. after a Time frame is established then One can say the Recipe is Older then the ONE in the K.F.C. Vault and John Brown had C.H.S. re-write the Original recipe for NEW AGE K.F.C as he retained the original. so then either the Recipe in possession of the custodian will either be Older or same Time period as the One which New Age K.F.C. has n the Vault.
in Any event I know and the Hundreds now who have ate the Chicken say it's WAY WAY better than the NEW AGE K.F.C. and has similar qualities as Fried Chicken from the 1940's and until the 1960's or 1970's
The Question YOU ALL NEED TO DETERMIN is what are Vegetables and What is Peppercorns ?

Let's see if we can get archive footage of this episode of the Today show. There is a phone number to call. May not deal with me being in Canada and asking.
