Glen & Friends Last Video #9
Viewing 1.9 million
I was asked a Direct Question over the Telephone regarding the Last Video Glen from Glen and Friend made titled Last Recipe No.9
Question ?:
How Does it compare to the Original Handwritten Chicken Recipe In possession?
Answer:
The Glen and friends List is from a 1980’s Altered Version with Limited Ingredient’s
View the List below and Count the Herbs and Spices as Glen Views them. 6 ingredients or 8 ingredients if you count the Peppers, You cannot count 3 Black Peppers different Grinds as 3 separate items
(if you Do please show 3 different grinds of Black Pepper in the KFC Vials ?)
You Need to Read the 1966 Court Case between Famous Fried Chicken and KFC NEW AGE. Plus review the Court case with Tommy and Cherry S. vs. KFC NEW AGE
In the Famous Court Case the defendant Famous Fried Chicken was using the stolen KFC recipe of 11 Herbs and Spices the court Bared the defendant AND ALL OTHER COMPETITORS from using a spice blend which contains more than 5 individual spices, in addition to salt pepper and MSG the court documents also disclosed that Tarragon was used in the Chicken and Tarragon Flavored Vinegar was used in the coleslaw.
It disclosed that the Salt, Pepper, and MSG were not part of the 11 Herbs and Spices
In the Tommy and Cherry Settler case it says The Colonel’s recipe has 11 Herbs and Spices. KFC Management says the recipe falls about five herbs and spices short? Both Tommy and Cherry claimed it was a Chicken recipe and they know what goes into chicken recipes. Both said it had 11 Herbs and Spices But could not speak about the other seasoning.
NOW I already see EVERYONE jumping OFF THE RAILS But there are 6 items in the LIST below? NO Jamaican Allspice is Imported into the USA as a Pepper Berry ( Pepper is excluded from the Counting 5 items)
Savoury is a Canadian item (The Court Case Does Not apply to the Canadian K.F.C. at that Time as C.H.S. owned the Canadian K.F.C. Franchise. Pat From UK had to Follow the Guidelines as HE QUIT K.F.C. and became a COMPETITOR) and had to use a Watered Down 5 spice item.
M.S.G. not counted as the 11 Herbs and Spices Court case confirms this in 1966.
Yes, there is Black Pepper in the Original Chicken Recipe Multiple Grinds ALL NOT ALL IN the seasoned Flour.
Some Ingredients in the One listed By Glen from Glen and Friend’s ARE NOT in the Original Chicken Recipe in possession.
When I read the Tommy and Cherry S Court case Court Documents / Transcripts The NEW AGE KFC clearly state there are 5 Spices or Herbs.
The Tommy and Cherry S. Recipe Does Not contain Salt, or M.S.G. when you take 11 REAL Herbs and Spice and the other items Missing from the recipe IT IS MISSING about 5 Spices or Herbs in the Colonel Sanders Hand written Recipe.
The Colonel Sanders Original hand written Recipe contains 11 Herbs and Spices Plus other items NOT Herbs and Spices so the NEW AGE is correct. The Court case also says the recipe that Tommy and Cheery S. has is Date time late 1960’s and written in different way then the Original Recipe. Making it a Marion Kay Chicken Seasoning?
The Recipe below has been around since the 1980’s a Washed Marion Kay Version. When Bill S changed the Recipe BY Agreement to dismiss the Court Case (Read The Court Case) Document and Transcripts.
Ingredient list: From No.9 Final Video Glen and Friends
Recipe Below Missing about 5 REAL HERBS AND SPICES from the Original and Vegetables Plus contains items NOT in Hand Written Chicken Recipe. Fine Salt
Fine Ground Black Pepper
Coarse Ground Black Pepper
Cracked Black Pepper
Fine Ground White Pepper
Allspice / or / Summer Savoury Ingredient 1
(Karl Gave Allspice) & (Canada Contact listed Summer Savoury)
Ground Coriander Ingredient 2
Ground Ginger Ingredient 3
MSG (Both Said NOT included in the recipe No. 12 Ingredient)
Rubbed Thyme Ingredient 4
Ground Sage Ingredient 5
Rubbed Marjoram Ingredient 6
Glen Indicated He cannot give the Amounts of the Ingredients

The court case against Lee was in 1968. Next up was Pat’s first in 1975. The case against Pat was for using cooking materials not prescribed by KFC corp. It wasn’t until the 1980’s they went after Pat about breach of the 1975 ruling and some franchise location openings etc. Later MK about the product and ingredients.
So lots could have changed in what Corp wanted out of the decisions by the early 80’s.
From this you could speculate both Pat’s and MK’s might have been unaltered from when CHS and Bill worked on them in 1965. Until early 1980’s. Or close to it
again I believe both these to be based on the same work done by Bill. I have researched the 1968 and 1975 rulings. Haven’t got too much details on the 80’s rulings.
If you have them please post to save me some time

I typed the conclusion The Ingredients Do Not account to 11 Herbs and Spices
The list shows 5 Herbs and Spices which falls in line with a Changed recipe Competitors would have had to follow as ordered in the late 1960's Court case With Famous Fried Chicken and New Age K.F.C.
Which Marion Kay and Pat From UK would have also been asked to Follow when the court cases Ended, for Each respectfully. NOTICE that NEW AGE K.F.C. could NOT go after either Party until after C.H.S. passed on, and HAD NO SAY. Otherwise C.H.S. would have clean NEW AGE K.F.C. clock in a Third Lawsuit.
Conclusion which was Printed above.
Recipe was FROM the 1980's and a version made By Marion Kay 99x.
This recipe was around Since the 1980's and there were people in Canada and other areas which had it

I found the ruling from the 1983 court case between Pat and KFC. Spoiler alert. No requirement to limit his mixture to 5 or 6 or any other amount of H&S. Removal of all KFC branding, CHS pictures, Wording etc. 250,000 pound fine where the big pieces of the ruling. He had been refusing since the 70's to use corporate watered down spices.
At this point I can't find if they went after Grace's when they started selling their Strong Blend.
In a UK magazine article on Pat from 1984. Pat maintains that his blend was 12 ingredients. Also that corporate was very clever as they never strayed away from the ingredients. But they did significantly alter the amounts of each ingredient. (obviously his thoughts at the time)
I suspect though changes may have came when they started selling their seasoning in bulk. The confusing part was Glen trying to tie the two recipes together. Mentions a couple ingredients switched around etc. He obviously was trying to draw a solid line and perhaps was protecting both recipes somewhat.
