1 US teaspoon of Garlic Powder equals 1.60 grams* 3/4 US teaspoon of Garlic Powder equals 1.20 grams 1/2 US teaspoon of Garlic Powder equals 0.80 grams 1/4 US teaspoon of Garlic Powder equals 0.40 grams

So roughly 1 gram of Garlic Powder for a recipe built upon a base of 200 grams (1.5 Cups) of Flour.

The licorice extract flavored is the flavor used to make root beer.
When you think of Root Beer there are few other Soft drinks with the same Flavor.
when you think of KFC its very distinctive Aroma and Taste, So without a Doubt there is Licorice Spice in KFC . when you Think about Licorice many also think Vanilla extract. NOW I'm not jumping on the Vanilla Bean Train just pointing out what OLD TIMES reference.
Also Hershey’s claims that their black Twizzlers contain ”2% or less of” licorice extract, and natural and artificial flavors. Aniseed oil was added to the mix.
Aniseed oil is actually incredibly strong in flavor, and it easily overpowers the licorice root extract. This became the shift to less licorice and more aniseed.
So with the Powerful aspect of the Anise Oil or Licorice showing 2% of Less, any item with licorice would be possibly Lower in Amount used,
There have been some Bakers who Claim that Cinnamon at higher Amount creates more a Licorice Effect with other Baking Items ?
My guess is that a licorice Spice or equivalent is USED 99x & used.

Least in weight with respect to the secret collective herbs and spices, or least in weight in regard to every one. In the modern ingredient list, where the secret ingredients are Al lumped together, and the product is mostly chicken, so the spices are mostly less then 2%, I think there is leeway for garlic to be quite heavy if it suits the recipe. Given 20 grams of combined H&S, how many grams of this would you allot to Garlic Powder in an attempt to evolve the essence of KFC OR? No idea. As much as it took to obtain the flavor profile that was needed is the way I tend to think of it. Also don’t forget that the USDA rules govern poultry, not the FDA, and since 1990, garlic, celery and onion are allowed to be listed as natural flavors, which are placed higher than the secret recipe herbs and spices in the US KFC OR ingredients. I had written a long post with the references, but a forum glitch erased it before I could post it. We can discuss more elsewhere if needed.
