4 Cups Water 1/3 Cup Salt 1/4 Cup Sugar* 4 Tbsp MSG
*Alternatively use 4 Tbsp FOOD GRADE Sodium Phosphate. This is what KFC really uses, but I replace it with sugar. I've tried both ways and very similar effect.
Note; Some people like to add some of their Herb & Spice Mix, but I do not.

You can substitute the sugar for dextrose. But this is how I marinate my chicken. And, as you mentioned, sometimes I add some spices and herbs, sometimes I dont. Depends on how I feel I guess

Hi highonascii just checking to see if 1/3 cup of salt is the right amount, it seems alot for 4 cups water? t/y
