In many different calculations divide from the 3lbs Bags of Salt which were Done and Not the 48oz
as printed above
it's a present-day value, and this amount was in 1970 manual (page 85):
• 1 Bag seasoning • 25 Pounds soft wheat flour (A&P Sunnyfield) • 6 eight ounce cups of fine salt (Popcorn, Baker's) (48 oz)
earlier (16 paged) manual asks for bigger amount of salt (page 5):
• 1 Bag seasoning • 25 Pounds soft wheat flour (A&P Sunnyfield) • 3.75 pounds International Sterling Purified Salt (60 oz)
I think it worked out to 2tsp. for Flour Home use of 200gram of Flour while other suggest it was for 100g flour
when I calculate the amount of salt vs Flour 1970's Math seems to be different
25 Pounds soft wheat flour (A&P Sunnyfield) 6 eight ounce cups of fine salt (Popcorn, Baker's) (48 oz)
25/6 = 9.6oz of sale per 5Lbs Flour or 1.92oz per 1Lbs Flour being 4.5 Cups of Flour typically. or .42oz per 1.125 Cups of Flour
I will Suggest this concept to a Original Based Recipe that Salt is USED more then 1 way when using Milk and Egg Warsh.
Salt is added to the Milk and Egg Warsh and Salt is also added to the Flour so used 2 ways.

And you also continue to confuse and confound and conflate Metric measure with US (Avoirdupois) measure. 6 US cups of fluid = 48 US fluid ounces, but 6 US Cups do not = 48 weight ounces, or 3 Pounds (Avoirdupois) 6 cups of Salt does not = 48 weight ounces (which means it would not be 1,360.8 grams, or 3 Lbs.) 6 Metric Cups of granulated Table Salt ~= 1906.5 grams ~= 4.2 Pounds (Avoirdupois) 6 US Cups of granulated Table Salt = ~1804.3 grams ~= 3.977 Pounds (Avoirdupois) [which I can guarantee you is not 3 weight Lbs., or 48 weight Oz.) Since CHS used (originally at least, US [I.E., Avoirdupois]) Cups and Spoons, his Original Recipe clearly used 4 Pounds of Salt (to 25 Lbs. of Flour)This was later reduced to 3.75 Pounds of Salt. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6 level US Cups of pure water will weigh ~1,419.5 grams, or ~3.13 Pounds (Avoirdupois) 6 level Metric Cups of pure water weigh ~1,500 grams, or ~3.307 Pounds (Avoirdupois) 1 US weight Ounce = 28.35 grams [for any substance] 1 US fluid ounce of specifically pure water = 29.57 grams The weight of 1 US fluid ounce of anything else is dependent upon its density
