I noticed now on more than 1 occasion the chicken legs in my bucket have split exposing the leg bone . I imagine this can occur while the chicken is being deep fried but how often does this happen to customers? And what is the cause?

I posted this thread because it happened 3 times when I bought from the same KFC location and i'm wondering if anyone else noticed this and what is the cause?

A pocket of chicken juice most likely exploded under pressure, they might have their fryer turned up a bit too hot. If it is a super busy location they might turn up a bit more than a normal location in hopes to cook the chicken faster. My best logical guess. 😁

If they are pressure frying, releasing the pressure too quickly will make internal liquid explode outward.

Almost all broken legs and wings are the result of throwing the chickens into the transit boxes at the chicken farm.
