I was having a doubt whether paprika is included in the original recipe. CHS used red bell pepper which appears to be paprika. Adding even 1/2 teaspoon can add significant redness to the seasoning. As I looked at the original spice mix it's grayish green, no red tint So does that mean only cayenne pepper is included?

Often the color is the purpose, but in oil frying, it can be a detriment. It isn't clear to me that cayenne was ever used, regardless of whether or not paprika was.
