I have seen people mention that you can use yeast as a raising agent? i've only ever used baking powder.

Not exactly sure how yeast would work because if you've ever tried to activate yeast with warm water it will die if the water is too hot.

What is the goal for the use of active yeast? KFC presumably uses an inactive yeast extract for it's Umami flavor benefit, not for rising.

I got it confused, i thought people were using it as a raising agent and that's why i was wondering what type they are using and how it would work. I have read about that nutritional yeast and been wanting to buy some to see what the flavour is like.

It looks OK BUT the Cornflake effect gives added flavor and a little more crispness.
We have sent back 1/2 skid of Flour to the wholesale it was a Batch that just was NOT working for many Baking either.
We have received replacement Flour and will be trying it
