This is from Millbrae, northern San Mateo County, California. They listed Spices before MSG here too. DT

A recurring theme is that garlic gets placed last.

Try as I might, I can not find an official KFC USA ingredients listing. It appears that KFC redirects to their website in Canada for this. Click on the USA nutrition facts for a Original recipe chicken item and the ingredients are embedded in the entry. You have to scroll in the tiny window to see the whole listing. Some KFC sites prevent viewing form other countries. UK can’t see Canada and USA can’t see Australia. A VPN with endpoints in the destination country might be helpful.

Thanks maceme! It reads: Zero MSG in the breading? And a gaggle of yucky stuff precedes the 'OR' seasoning (whereby all of it appears to potentially outweigh the seasoning). Sodium Phosphate is an oil and water emulsifier. What surprises might lurk under the guise of "Natural Flavor". (MSG, I+G, emulsified chicken oil and water, extracts, Etc. ...?) That's a whopper load of Tricalcium Phosphate. Another emulsifier?

And in the second bag they listed Herbs and Spices before MSG. I think they have noticed that MSG shouldnt have been listed before, or it will give the wrong impression that it weighs more than the sum of the whole Herbs and Spices, which is not the case, but MSG weighs more than any separate Herb or Spice. Another question here, why mention Herbs before Spices, we know Pepper, a Spice, Weighs more, and the sum of Spices will exceed the sum of herbs, shouldn't they write Spices and Herbs ? DT Deep Taste , do you know the weight of this bag? Do you know the weight of the Salt bag that accompanies it? And lastly, the weight of the powdered milk/egg wash bag that accompanies it?

The salt bag used was 2 lbs + 5 Oz = 37 Oz Salt. I will look for the weight of this seasoning bag. Taking the Salt weight (37 Oz) into account, and by looking at the second seasoning photo I posted, which is a container-Carton, of 6 x 87 Oz Salt+Seasoning+Milk+Egg: 87 - 37 = 50 Oz Seasoning + Milk + Egg They had two Milk+Egg bags, 12 Oz and 9.4 Oz, rounding the 9.4 to 10: 50 - 10 Oz = 40 Oz seasoning, and we know they have 40 Oz seasoning packages. 40 Oz Seasoning package: That is the amount of seasoning + MSG I will continue using. That means for my 300g Flour I need 30g Spices+MSG, this amount corresponds perfectly with the result I wanted (14g Pepper, 12-14g MSG, 2-4g Other herbs and Spices, keeping pepper around 80% and other spices around 20 %) DT

The box contains 6 bags of seasoning, each one weighs 87 Oz , that is Salt, Spices, Milk and Egg.
They only need to add this bag to the Flour.

The Salt box has 2 Lbs. 5 Oz. of Salt (1.05 Kg.). That is 37 ounces.
This implies that the Salt within the 40 ounce bag must be on the order of about 20-22 ounces. (when also assuming that the powdered milk and egg bag has no Salt in it)
