A Grandson asked why can't we just make a Easy Peasy Chicken 1 spoon measuring Chicken not all the different spoons and which spoon doe's he use for what jar?
Marinade Chicken in Buttermilk with 1 teaspoon of Mix below added to the Buttermilk / Marinade for 24 Hours (Ziploc Bag so Grandson could take it from the fridge and squish it around in a sealed bag) ( he said it was less messy then then taking a spoon and stirring the bowl of chicken around )
Easy Peasy Mix
1 Cup Brodie xxx Pastry Flour 1 cup Potato Flour
1 teaspoon Grey Celtic Sea Salt ( WHY GREY CELTIC SEA SALT Grandson said it looked cooler then the White Salt) 1 teaspoon White Pepper Peppercorn 50% Butcher Grind 50% Fine ( why 50% of each Grandson was tired of grinding it all extra fine) 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Peppercorn 50% Butcher Grind 50% Fine ( just because ) 1 teaspoon Cream Tarter ( Because Grandpa said we needed it)
1 tsp Paprika Sweet 1 tsp Red Sweet Pepper & Cayenne 50/50 1 tsp Poultry Seasoning 1 tsp Goods Italian Dressing - Has MSG 1 tsp Pumpkin Spice 1 tsp Garlic Flakes ( Ground ) 1 tsp Onion Flakes ( Ground )
Optional items below were mixed all together and 1 teaspoon of mix added to above for starting amount
1 tsp TV-P (textured Vegetable Protein) used for adhesive Property carrier for seasoning 1 tsp Dried Vegetable Oil used as carrier for seasoning 1 tsp Cane Sugar used for seasoning carrier
total amount of above was 11 teaspoons
1 tsp was added to the Buttermilk 10 tsp were added to Flour Mix

Results of above Cook
The recipe was Easy Peasy.
The Chicken was some of the Most Moist Chicken ever cooked with a Flavor into the Meat The chicken Breast were Dripping with Juice and there was NOT enough Napkins to clean the FINGERS which stuck to the Fingers
Was there a KFC Aroma? VERY LOW
WAS there enough Flavor? NO
A second Batch of Easy Peasy Dry Mix was made real quick. We added 4 more teaspoon to the Flour.
Bringing the Dry mix to 14 teaspoon to 2 cups Flour minus the amount approximately 10% gone from first chicken cooked
Result Very Good Chicken needs more Earthy tone of spices Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, and More Pepper

It was Great
was it a KFC CLONE - NO
Did it have under tones and features of KFC YES
I can say this with changes to the Easy Peasy Chicken Recipe AMOUNTS there can be VERY VERY GREAT chicken and it would Pass off as a KFC.
I think it would Vary on Brands of Pre-Mixes and better amount values in the MIX
for a easy chicken its a Great Chicken.
The chicken has more of a Deep Fried Fish Look flatter Coating Non-Corn Flake look. which made some people ask if it was Fish and chips ?
The Kids loved it MORE then ever BUT that was because they ALL helped make the easy peasy chicken.
IT will BE A REMAKE AGAIN YES with little change and different Brands of Pre-Made seasoning.
THE SALT was also different with the Grey Celtic Sea Salt.
