silver when I click on your link to see the recipe it goes to a blank page on the postimage site. Is it just me or are others having the same issue? cfc It works fine for me. But there have been occasions when postimage glitches. Try it again.

Thanks for replying. I've re-tried numerous times but still no-go. I'll try another computer.

When I click on it a blank page comes up. cfc

When I click on it a blank page comes up. cfc OK, here it is, exactly as cooked on 6/18/22. 200. grams Cake Flour 28.0 grams Salt 15.0 grams MSG 0.30 grams I+G 3.00 grams White Pepper (1) 3.00 grams Black Pepper (2) 1.50 grams Coriander Seed (3), (or) 1.50 grams Celery Seed (3) 1.00 grams Ginger (4) 0.75 grams Sage (5) 0.50 grams Anise Seed (6) 0.25 grams Summer Savory (7) 0.25 grams Garlic Powder (8) 0.25 grams Nutmeg (9) 0.20 grams Clove (10) 0.15 grams Mace (11) 0.10 grams Cinnamon (12) And here is how I currently suggest it 'might' be improved upon, based upon my eating perceptions: 200. grams Cake Flour 30.0 grams Salt 15.0 grams MSG 0.30 grams I+G (Note: add it if you have it, else skip) 3.00 grams White Pepper (1) 3.00 grams Black Pepper (2) 1.35 grams Coriander Seed (3), (or) 2.00 grams Celery Seed (3) 1.00 grams Ginger (4) 0.75 grams Sage (5) 0.50 grams Anise Seed (6) 0.25 grams Summer Savory (7) 0.25 grams Garlic Powder (8) 0.25 grams Cayenne Pepper (9) 0.25 grams Nutmeg (10) 0.20 grams Clove (11) 0.15 grams Mace (12) 0.10 grams Cinnamon (13)

My recipe #17's Black Pepper was half fine, and half coarse.
Note: If you don't have any Summer Savory, substitute for it by adding the same weight of Thyme.
Edit: My Son and I both slightly preferred the Coriander Seed version, and my Wife slightly preferred the Celery Seed version.

Here's the 'Seventh Wonder Chicken' eating report:
I'll begin by stating that my wife proclaimed it perfect in every way. And I did not. So here are the flaws and thoughts from my perspective.
1) No requisite pepper bite. Absolutely needs some Cayenne Pepper. 2) White Pepper alone is boring. Roughly half of the White Pepper needs to be Black Pepper for better liveliness. And 3g./3g. is about right. 3) Needs additional Celery Seed if Celery Seed is going to perform as a stand-in for Herbs. 4) Star-Anise falls way short of Anise-Seed somehow. So its back to 0.50g. Anise Seed for me. 5) Nutmeg alone simply does not bring forth the flavor that evolves when Nutmeg and Mace are paired. That plus I likely was heavy on the Nutmeg. 6) Perhaps Coriander needs trimmed from 1.5g. to 1.30g. But the excessive nuttiness may have been from Nutmeg overload. So split the difference. 7) I think bumping Ginger up to 1.25g. may be beneficial. 8) I think 0.20 grams of Clove was better than 0.18g. 9) It wasn't quite salty enough. My thinking was that Celery Seed would act as a salt enhancer, but it didn't. 10) 15 grams of MSG is better than 12 grams. 11) And lastly to quote Crocodile Dundee: "Are you enjoying that?" "Nah, needs garlic!"
So putting it all together for what should be a delicious 11 spice + herb free deep fried chicken:
200 grams Pastry Flour 29.5 grams Salt 15 grams MSG 3.00 grams White Pepper (1) 3.00 grams Coarse Black Pepper (2) 2.50 grams Celery Seed (3) 1.40 grams Coriander Seed (4) 1.25 grams Ginger (5) 0.50 grams Anise Seed (6) 0.20 grams Garlic Powder (7) 0.20 grams Cayenne Pepper (8) 0.20 grams Nutmeg (9) 0.20 grams Mace (10) 0.20 grams Clove (11)

Hey folks, just wanted to point out that I tested one of Silver's latest recipes and I can only highly recommend taking his attempts seriously. He's doing a very good job. If you are just starting, or if are not happy with your own recipe so far, be brave and try it out! I was super skeptical about Anise Seed myself, but it blended in very nicely after melding and wasn't too present in the finished product at all. Thanks Silver for keeping the forum alive and for sharing your recipe(s).
