WATCH the Tomato amount used.
this weekend I challenged ALL our cooks to make a Gravy. They had to Add Tomato Soup Dried Mix from either Liptons or knorr Brand (which ALL contain MSG and I&G)
I told them WATCH HOW MUCH THEY USE.
IN the END sample THERE WAS SOME OF THE BEST GRAVY they had ever made they said WAS IT perfect to KFC Clone.
one who added Tomato Tarragon and Vinegar with beef and chicken stock pepper WAS SO DAM CLOSE I would say MUCH BETTER THEN KFC
The Gravy in KFC was based on Kay Kerr from Canada NOT the Original Crackin Gravy originally used as the original took 45 minutes to make and used Milk. CHS even acknowledge it was Her Gravy.
