I presume Eula was one of his employees at the garage/restaurant, dating in such employment to pre the secret recipe.
I've never heard of a Ms. Childs.

I'm now ready to attempt a recipe based straight from the ingredients list of my Amish Poultry Seasoning, with no added Allspice or Ginger, as follows:

Let us know the Cumin amount. Its a item we have been leaving out lately due to overpowering quality it has.
You are using less then what we tried so would like to see your result.
Do the Amish have the spice in Bottle or bag?
I would assume they Do Not have a website

Do the Amish have the spice in Bottle or bag? I would assume they Do Not have a website They sell their Poultry Seasoning in jars, as for all of their spices. No website. As to the Cumin in their ground Poultry Seasoning, I have no idea as to how much they are adding. But out of nine "non pepper" ingredients, it ranks 6th of nine as to its weighted placement within the ingredients list. Presuming that the Amish need to follow ingredients list "by weight" laws, which they may be excused from. It seems as if they are excused from many requirements.

There are actually a multitude of Amish "Bulk Foods" stores scattered among our local Amish community. Just as for Schools, they must have them spaced such as to be accessible by walking, bicycle, or buggy. Many of them appear to sell pretty much the same goods, so perhaps they have a centralized source.
Edit: They do not sell bulk such as for scooping things out of barrels. Everything is bulk that has been repackaged into the likes of jars or bags. Likely the work of the centralized supply hub.
For refrigerator items, they must provide their own electricity. If they generate it themselves (from on site natural gas wells and generators, or from solar panels and battery banks) they are allowed to use it. But they are not permitted by their Church to attach to any "grid" whereby to receive natural gas or electricity. Our Amish community is well versed in solar energy. Only the most strict sects among them shun self made electricity.

I'm sure there Quality is unreal that they sell We find it to be generally better than the big box stores. That's why we make weekly ~55 mile round trips to our local Amish community to shop for many food goods. We even occasionally buy quarter or half sides of beef from them.

Many of today's Amish are not quite as primitive as for only a few generations ago, but then again, many still are. By contrast, the Mennonites seem to be fully modernized at this juncture.

I agree that Cumin at some concentration may dominate and diminish the flavor profile of deep fried chicken recipes, but it did no such thing for the Amish Poultry Seasoning when sprinkled onto the air fried chicken legs. I'm currently speculating that Cumin may get one into trouble when it is combined with Allspice and Clove, neither of which are present within the Poultry Seasoning. I have already mentioned that Allspice ruined the flavor of the Poultry Seasoning. Might that be a consequence of the Cumin within the Poultry Seasoning?
