The disrespect is so subtle. Some appear so nice, but then shoot down every theory one espouses. Then they become irate at the rudeness of your responses. Did I just mention KFC11? By golly, it's 13g or naught! Where can I find the story of the introduction of the vials? Anyplace save it off the internet, or from the press?

I was a part of the old Forum when those Vials came to live, and I believe it was made by only one of those two companies, but I cannot remember now which one was it.
Do you think realy, when the KFC shows them to the Media, that they havent thought there were those who will try to identify them ?!
You cannot have a trademark secret, and then go live showing your secret to the world.
This is against Trademark's law!

You know, it doesn't really matter. If hardly anyone knows the recipe, then how in the hell did someone sit down and compile those vials. Not saying it's impossible, but if it did happen, I'd like to know how. Great observation. Ive had a few myself, but few have taken any interests in them.
Off the subject, I have been looking at old KFC chicken photos and I swear I see either turmeric or paprika coloring on that chicken. My KFC seasoning in no way contains any type of yellow coloring.

Yes, the disrespect is so subtle indeed, one doesn't notice this until gets involved.
That one at KFC11 is alone now, no true researcher is there now, I can go further to expose what he said behind the scene, but that is not important.
This is Life my friend.
The only important thing is, don't limit your research, try everything, and I am trying with you too.

I found it at last in my old notes:
Each glass vial measures approximately 5 inches (12.5 cm) in height, and 1/2 an inch (1.25 cm) across. They were manufactured by "Schott", a Laboratory Supplies Company based in the U.S. This specific range of vials is known as the "KIMAX" range: A top quality glass vial manufactured to exacting Industry Standards. The glass vials themselves are sealed in one inch thick perspex material.
This company doesn't even know half the recipe.

I mixed another batch Wednesday night. It is similar to the Ledington mix (more about what it is later), except instead of grinding ingredients in three different batches, I ground everything together. I added the msg after all was ground, and pulsed a few times. The MSG in my seasoning bags are not powdered. I was able to create a 30g batch which appeared to be as strong as the 81.2g batch. I know that Stange made his mark with new types of grinders which enabled him (them) to more finely grind ingredients. Not sure, but it appears it allowed him (them) to remove a lot more of the chaff. When I grind coriander, I sift out as much of the chaff as I can. Apparently the proper chemical reactions and interactions take place only if the oleoresins are ground together. A, b and c, when mixed equals abc. But if you mix that with d, e and f (getting def, which was ground together), You are mixing different chemical mutations. The interactions of all of these ingredients must be done together, IMO. Some won't grasp this. But if you want to blend black pepper with ginger to get a certain taste, you would get a different blend if you first mixed black pepper with star anise, and ginger with celery salt. The chemical reactions need to occur together. My understanding of the early days had the first spice company sending their mix to Stange, who then added their elements, and I'm assuming, ground them all together. Stange then distributed to the various outlets. I'm not sure what recipe I've posted and where. Some times I post recipes for others to taste and give me pointers, but alas few, if any do. So I cook and cook until I can hardly eat anymore chicken.

Got some recent information that Ledingtons may have some validity. It is possible that the actual OR had more influence from Pete Harman than originally thought.

Many have always questioned the Vials that were made in 1985.
I always look and Say KFC has put there NUT's on the Line and said that the Vial's are a representation of the 11 Herb's and Spice's.
The question becomes have they showed the Vials that they are discussing or are they showing a Photo op Prop?
One would need to question KFC about the Vials in letter.
In aspect they make representation of the Vials in Photo and Video which implies what they are holding to a reasonable person the ones they are holding are the Real Vials and represent the real spices.
So in a reversing manner what we see first are Colors of spices?
Red, Yellow, Black, etc, etc
we also see Color in many Pea-Trays and some spices
reverse back to 1939 what are the Common Run of the Mill Spices and Herbs in a Pantry and Shelve.
