I don't get anything Sagey from Savory, and it's an herb we use a lot where I'm from. It's more a flavour combination of Thyme and Oregano (3:1) if you ask me. These food website experts never cease to amaze me.

Per the Marion Kay website, Savory has a flavor reminiscent of ..... Thyme.

Per the Marion Kay website, Savory has a flavor reminiscent of ..... Thyme. I tend to like the smell of sage and savory better than thyme and savory. I feel savory is a tad bit stronger. But I agree it could be either or that has used. I wouldn’t rule out a blend of the two however it seems cultural or supply driven. Here where I am, savory is available and lots of it. Others in the US struggle to find it. May be money to made exporting it from east coast Canada into the US. Lol

First a commercial blitz for Savory, and then the Savory invasion. An invasion without a preceding radio and TV bombardment might not accomplish much.
I'm wondering if I should toss a token gram of Savory into my 200 gram mix?

I went ahead and added 1 gram of Savory to my 200 gram mix for cook session #13 (and beyond...).
I also tossed in 1.4 grams of 'I+G' (for which 1.4 grams is 2% of the 70 grams of MSG in the mix). Aji-No-Moto sells an MSG and I+G pre-mixed blend that is 98% MSG and 2% I+G, and they claim a 2-fold boost in MSG flavor enhancement thereby. Since I've gotten used to adding 15 grams, the I+G should boost 7 grams to an 'effective' 14 grams, which is right close to 15 grams.
