For specifically dirt cheap budget digital gram scales that have been calibrated and are clean and new their precision is at best about +/- 0.03 gram. This isn't likely to be an issue when weighing H&S quantities at 1 gram and above, but when weighing at the level of 0.10 grams it represents a built in scale error of +/- 30%.
Scale precision inevitably gets progressively worse for the case where over time micro-grains of spices have found their way under the scale pan (weighing surface) and began to accumulate there.
And for battery scales, weight output is impacted by voltage, such that as batteries discharge the reported (displayed) weights change, and when sufficient discharge has occurred weight output actually begins to drift wildly and stability of weight reading is lost.
All of this favors making up on the order of 10X quantities of spice mix whereby to gain appreciable precision for ingredients which will be added at or about 0.10 - 0.20 grams per 200 grams of flour.

I understand what you mean. The lower you go, the more challenging the measuring. You could add factors such as "loss during preparation". I might be lacking the proper word here, but it would be the amount of spices and herbs that would stick to the mortar, grinder or on the side of the bowl. I am sure you will know what I mean.
But this is why you need recipe robustness. If a 0.03 gram deviation poses a threat to a 200+ grams recipe, something can't be quite right in my opinion. Also, it would be interesting to find out what would have more impact, the flavour loss in a pre-ground and stored spice blend vs. the possible weight deviations in a freshly ground smaller batch. I am inclined to believe the latter to be better. But again, if the recipe is solid, there shouldn't be any big issue.
Another aspect here is that you cannot scale quality. Let's say your Ginger is superior than mine, fresher, better quality overall. And I use Ginger that I have kept on an open kitchen shelf, exposed to sun light and heat etc. Even with a 30% weight deviation, your chicken will taste better.

ARE WE COOKING CHICKEN OR SELLING DRUGS ?
ANY IDIOT that thinks .03 of a spice in 200Grams of flour will make the BIGGEST CHANGE OR SUCH A DIFFERENCE IN THE TASTE needs to go to the street corner and BUY .03 of High Test Organic Grown product to add to there 11 Herbs and Spices.
GET REAL with weights
If Winston S is broken down in multiples of !0 it does NOT end up being a .03 Gram ratio, and when CHS added Two Handfuls of MSG he did NOT say each Handful had to BE 3.1405948382721616161389494 of a GRAM.
I will SAY THIS AGAIN FOR THE MANY MANY TIMES
THE recipe needs Whole and 1/2 amount values or 3/4 like a teaspoon and it works
QUIT DICKING AROUND WITH THE 26OZ weight per BAG
KEN HAS YOU CHASING YOUR TAIL AROUND LIKE A LOST DOG.
work on more whole number Grams if you need and BASE YOUR SPICE AMOUNT ON % percentage of Grams per FLOUR
IF you look at the Chookies they say Mix at a rate of 5-1 Flout to Spice.
That means 20% Spice and Herb
ITS TIME EVERYONE THINKING ON MIXING SPICE AND HERBS GET TO A % Valve
CHS obviously Told Winston S that when he said 100g
its about 100% = 100g and easy MATH when mixed to 200 Grams of Flour of 10Lbs of Flour
Make the Values work to your % round up and round down BUT MAKE IT WORK its NOT about .03

That's why even though it is not accurate and creates controversy. The spreadsheet I use to work up recipes tries to convert from teaspoons to grams to a scaled up version. I realize you can't convert 100% volume to weight. But I believe the right recipe will scale reasonably between these (underline reasonably). I fully agree the hand written recipe would have been even amounts of teaspoons and or tablespoons. 3/32 of a teaspoon just would not be right in my mind.
For clarification I use US teaspoons. I used a conversion chart posted on this and other sites. I will consult the manufactures site if more info is required. I will and have weighed my own ingredients in my dollar store measuring spoons to see the delta.

IF you look at the Chookies they say Mix at a rate of 5-1 Flout to Spice. That means 20% Spice and Herb Chookies has all of the salt in the bag, so it couldn't possibly mean there is 20% herbs and spices. 2/3 of the Chookies bag is probably salt.

ARE WE COOKING CHICKEN OR SELLING DRUGS ?
😂 Legend. As someone relatively young, you won’t believe how people look at me at the check out in an electronic store when I want to buy a fine scale, living just a few mins away from the Netherlands. „This is just for chicken, ma’am“ would probably make it worse, so I‘d just play along and pay everything in €5 banknotes. With shades on.

If we look at a Canadian equivalent Salt was the same weight as Herb and Spice
BUT remember each and every one of the Blends that have been created Like Chookies is using extracts.
The Sample of Chookies We examines has EXTRACTS added to the bag. Currently we are examining the carrier they have used for the extract.
From cross examination of MANY MANY MANY KFC samples and OTHER Marion Kay Spices from pre 1980 and 99X
The Chookies mix was a blend that was developed For the NEW AGE CORPORATION OF BROWN & MASSEY Engineers and Space Scientist.
The same of chookies we examined was dumped out and mixed to fully blend the content then poured back into the Bag. While extracting 25% for inspection and sifting.
Current conclusion at this Point is it resembles the 1975-1978 KFC NEW AGE CREATIONS they were blending.
Our sample test will extract the Salt first from the spices and divide out as many spices and herbs. Then test the found carriers.
Current indication is the SALT has been used as the Carrier for the extracts. WHICH was used in the 1975-1978 ERA.
KFC current Carriers is Whey powder for a Common Compound extract carrier and Corn Starch and even potato starch.
There has been OLD days where the Milk and Egg powder were used for a Carrier. This is how some years of knowing time frame with KFC and Regions of USE.
EVERYTHING takes Time to work ON, and reference to the endless Different KFC Spice and Herbs from many regions.
The Problem Many people are having is KFC is ONE step ahead of EVERYONE and Because they have used different Process to use as Carriers its hard to get a true finding unless you know the possible combination they had used in what region.

Did you want Organic Chicken they are Grass Feed or Grass Smoked hehehehe love you sense of humor Next time you need a accurate .003 scale Go to a Legal Weed Shop and tell them you need to to measure your 11 Herbs and Spices. WINK WINK see what they say
