Perhaps I've been equating the note to a flavor phenomenon incorrectly from the onset, and it is strictly an aroma phenomenon. I have always assumed the goal to be deriving a recipe that delivers the distinctive and satisfying flavor of KFC Original Recipe (KFC_OR). I've had many recipes lend a very KFC_Like aroma to the kitchen during cooking sessions, but only a scant few have brought the flavor smile to my face. And it is the latter to which I speak, when I'm speaking of the note.
How have each of you perceived and used the term 'note'? Is such terminology merely throwing everyone off the track, and should we thereby abandon reference to the 'note'?

The NOTE in many mind believe the AROMA the scent smell are related to a NOTE but I combine it with the Taste and Smell
