You are 1000% Correct the recipe is NOT Patent Protected and would have Expired.
KFC NEW AGE has Gone after everyone UNDER IP Protection for the Recipe. They NEVER ONCE have EVER made reference to Patent and the Recipe ONLY Intellectual Property Issue with the exception of the 1966 Famous Brand vs KFC Issue and the use of Two Heat Temperature setting while cooking the Chicken in a Pressure Cooker ?
The Original Recipe Patent would have ran out YES BUT it has NEVER APPLIED to the Recipe EVER.
I will address this Point KFC Has ZERO NO NONE right or legal Stand over Many things BUT they have a Million Dollar Legal team who Just Do what they want.
They Have Zero Right over anything C.H.S. wrote or left that is in Canada either so they can FLY a kite WITH THE exception that they control ALL KFC Franchises in Canada
As for a NDA that ONLY applies to what is learned as part of a employment contract IT DOES not apply to Outside the KFC work hours unless your selling trading or misusing the Information obtained while employed.
They have NO control under what is Learned OUTSIDE the Hours your Hobby's or Enjoyment that They DO NOT PAY you for?
SO UNDERSTAND this KFC NEW AGE ONE will take a Run at IP Protected Information, THATS ALL THEY CAN DO unless they say Breach of NDA.

Ledington, Settles, Lee's, Grace's, 99X, etc., all had social contact with CHS, and/or had direct information from him, or on his stationary. If I have the exact recipe that CHS used in the 1950s, which I discovered on my own, then KFC can't do diddly squat. It is not the list of ingredients that KFC owns, but the dissemination of that information from liable sources. If you claim you have the recipe from suspect sources, then they can come after you for possessing their intellectual property they received from CHS. But if you just claim the exact recipe as your own, without mentioning KFC, then they can suck air. Example: I have the exact KFC recipe originally developed by CHS. I discovered the recipe by trial and error. Now come and get me, KFC!

Canada, Florida, Montana, Utah, UK were All retained by C.H.S. as Part of the Sale to Brown and Massey.
Anything C.H.S. gave to the Canadian Franchise Owners ARE under NO contract to NEW AGE K.F.C. while C.H.S. owned it or the Charitable organization Own it.
C.H.S. often said He sued KFC NEW AGE just to see How much of Him New Age thought They Owned.
Marion kay was able to sell the Marion Kay Chicken Seasoning to Ones OWNED BY C.H.S. and or the Canadian Charity, BUT they were told NOT to sell it to Other Franchise which were owned by the NEW AGE K.F.C. that's why the court case sat idle for years until C.H.S. Passed away, and NEW AGE they went to retain ALL rights over K.F.C. Global Ownership.
Willie it's the same thing Grace's are saying there item is 12 Ingredient and NOT the Original KFC Recipe. So K.F.C. leaves them alone.
K.F.C. has NOT shut Down Glen and friends who JUST HIT 2 Million Views of the K.F.C. video last released. which makes Glen over $6000.00 a month revenue.

I don't know if this countered what I posted, but in playing the game, provide the Canadian recipe, if you have it. KFC bought up the Canadian KFCs and their liabilities. Have you read one of the Canadian Kxs?

deepfriednew101 , if KFC corporate did not have any legal connections with CHS's operations within Canada until post CHS's passing, and there is a Canadian CHS fried chicken recipe in your possession that predates CHS's passing, then due to the illegality of Ex Post Facto laws (I.E., retroactive laws), you should be free to do anything you wish with such a recipe. Just don't step on any of KFC's slogan or image trademarks. What am I missing here?

Your Correct I Can Do anything I want with it.
That's why I had the Hand Writing verification completed and the year assessment verification.
Otherwise K.F.C. or ANYONE could allege it's NOT a Authentic item. So Do All the Checks First and have them out of the way.
Then You know to a accuracy of 99.9% proof what you have, so you can tell People to go F themselves when they say it's NOT Original.
I know what I have, that's NOT a Issue that Taste in the Cook Answers it ALL also. The Aroma Fit's the Mark to a Tee. The hand writing is verified match more then 2 time's By different expert's. I know what Year C.H.S. re-wrote the one that is in the Vault that They say is the Original Recipe (The One Massey and Brown Have was Kept by John Brown and He asked C.H.S. to write a replica for K.F.C. Yes they Have a Copy of the K.F.C. recipe written By C.H.S. and the 11 Secret Spices and Herbs.
