Since Thymol was discovered via analysis to be in KFC_OR, I did some quick searching for Herbs which contain Thymol, and came up with this list:
Thyme
Origanum
Wild Marjoram
Summer Savory
Mexican Sage
Oregano
I had never heard of Origanum before.

Herbs are a Base to the Original KFC
Part of the Key with herbs is Fresh Leaves and Rubbed leaves NOT Pre-Ground Powders YOU Can grind them Fresh and Have a Powerful Great Ingredient. In the 1930 Rubbed Herbs in Tins were the Majority of Tin's sold and Many Grew the items which they could in summer and dried it also
Sage has Been NOTED in the Original KFC Some Old Cooks mentioned Basil also.

My homegrown herbs were outstanding. When I was young, all I saw was rubbed sage. Rubbed sage is "fibrous". I haven't grown anything since my wife died, so I buy whole herbs and grind them with pestle and mortar.

Sage, Oregano, and Basil are requires herbs that will give Flavor needed, and compliment All Chicken
