So if a fraction of an ounce of I+G can be stealthed into the 26 ounce bag, and if I+G boosts MSG 4-fold, then 3.5 ounces of MSG is magically transformed into an 'effective' 14 ounces of MSG, while still only weighing 3.5 grams. But on top of that, additional MSG can be stealthed in under the guise of things such as soy protein or hydrolyzed yeast, then the 'effective' MSG in the 26 ounce bag can easily well exceed 14 ounces.

But some sources (mainly within Japan, where MSG was discovered) say that I+G can enhance or supercharge the flavor impact of MSG up to 15-fold, such that the sky is virtually the limit as to the 'effective' ounces of MSG that the 26 ounce bag can deliver, while still containing only 3.5 ounces of MSG.
15-fold_boost x 3.5 ounces MSG = (effectively) 52.5 ounces MSG

If you ever wondered why KFC retains it's almost addictive Umami flavor overnight (and beyond) while our recipes do not, read the above post and quote again.

Disodium inosinate was discovered (isolated and synthesized) in 1913, and Disodium guanylate was discovered (isolated and synthesized) in 1957.
MSG was discovered (isolated and synthesized) in 1908.

It could very well be Disodium Inosinate for which two handfuls were tossed into the KFC mix back in 1952.
