I have labeled KFC plates that I identified based on open information. CHS had definitely included sage and savory in his original recipe although what the picture shows is somewhat off. A lot of people think the orange spice is mace, but it's definitely star anise. Cloves is clearly shown here. Also, green spice is with no doubt tarragon. White pepper is one of the ingredients as shown in the picture. Ground Ginger is included in the picture as well and it was also mentioned in the record. The most interesting thing is the upper left spice plate which is likely to be ancho chili powder which is dark brownish red.

jseo12, this has been identified as the work of an artist called HD Connelly. You can find the thread under PICTURES, VIDEO'S, AUDIO & MEDIA. These spices are probably hanging on the walls of hundreds if not thousands of home kitchens. This is the full(er) version: Ground herbs and spices can hardly be "identified" visually. Look at the colour range of Cardamom for instance: grey, white, dark green, light brown, dark yellow etc. Or Coriander. You will not be able to distinguish between ground Marjoram and ground Thyme. "definitely included sage and savory"; "definitely star anise"; "with no doubt tarragon"; "White pepper is one of the ingredients as shown in the picture"; "Ginger is included in the picture as well". If you get so much certainty and clarity from this illustration, you must have more than five senses. I sometimes really ask myself if folks here have the same approach to finding the truth in real life. I hope not. I love reading everyone's stories, experiences and ideas. But I think we should distinguish between facts and feelings. No offence, jseo12. But far too many people here don't back up anything they say. Maybe some are only here to distract. Who knows.
