Is there perhaps some magical/ideal "weight to weight" ratio for combinations of Savory and Sage with respect to capturing the elusive KFC_OR 'note'?
What do each of you feel has been you're best ratio for these two ingredients, as in (strictly for example only) 1:4 (meaning 1 gram of Savory for every 4 grams of Sage)?
Or is it the case that it doesn't really matter as to any specific ratio?

Good question. In looking at the poultry dressing formulae I posted. There doesn't seem to be any real pattern other than savory is never more than sage. I see 1:3, 1:2 or 1:1 in most books I've looked at.
I favor 1:2 and I think the kitchen sink recipe of mine is close to that

I went conservative at 1:3 since I'm not a huge fan of Savory.
